Could Arch Manning Follow in Peyton & Eli’s Footsteps, Join One of Their Previous Teams?

Texas QB1 Arch Manning is undoubtedly a generational talent. Whispers suggest he might even be more talented than his legendary uncles, Peyton and Eli, both of who won Super Bowls during their NFL careers.

The 19-year-old will be eligible for the 2026 NFL draft, and there’s news that some NFL teams might even try to tank their 2025 season to make him their franchise QB. Could the much-hyped QB land on one of his uncles’ former teams: Indianapolis Colts, Denver Broncos, or New York Giants?

Could Arch Manning Play for His Uncles’ NFL Teams?

NFL Rookie Watch reported that scouts predict Manning could be the top QB prospect not only in 2026 but even in 2025 if he were eligible.

With his talent and the stage set for a breakout 2025 season, the Texas QB1 is already on the radar of franchises across the league.

There are speculations that Arch might join one of his uncles’ former NFL teams because of family connections. However, the Colts, Broncos, and Giants must have a serious strategy to win over the young phenom, as the competition for him will be tough.

Since Eli’s retirement, the Giants have struggled to find their long-term quarterback. They believed Daniel Jones, drafted sixth overall in 2019, could fit that role, but it didn’t work out. For the 2025 season, New York has signed quarterbacks Russell Wilson and Jameis Winston to join backup Tommy Devito in the QB room.

Additionally, many still believe the Giants will look to draft a QB in the upcoming NFL Draft. If they do this, they likely won’t select another QB next season.

Meanwhile, the Broncos have Bo Nix, who just completed a surprisingly successful rookie season. Still, he hasn’t fully solidified his position as a long-term solution, so the team could look to draft Manning as his replacement.

Finally, the Colts have a stable head coach, Shane Steichen, who can easily win over Manning. Steichen has a strong track record working with an elite pocket passer like Philip Rivers and developing QBs like Justin Herbert and Jalen Hurts.

As of now, it looks like Anthony Richardson is the franchise signal-caller in Indy, but as he approaches his fifth-year option, the Colts might look to move on to a young player on a rookie deal.

In 2024, Arch completed 61 of 90 passes for 939 yards, nine touchdowns, and four rushing scores in 10 games worth of garbage time and stretches without former QB1 Quinn Ewers. He also had 25 carries for 108 yards.
