Cormani McClain Agent Slams “False” Claims About Florida Departure

After reports surfaced that transfer Cormani McClain had been dismissed from Florida, the DB's agent slammed "false" claims about his client.

Reports began circulating that Colorado transfer corner Cormani McClain was no longer with the Florida Gators after transferring this offseason. However, his agent said in a tweet that the reports are false, slamming social media and “false information” in the process.

Agent: Information About Cormani McClain “100% False”

Cormani McClain was a five-star recruit, and one of Deion Sanders’ initial recruiting wins at Colorado. However, after just one year in Boulder and some vague comments from Sanders about his “lack of accountability,” McClain entered the transfer portal after spring practice, waiting until late in the process to announce his intentions to enroll at Florida.

According to reports that surfaced late on Sunday, though, not everything has been sunshine and rainbows for the Florida native since returning to his home state.

Gators Online Nick de la Torre reported that McClain has been showing up late to practices and that Billy Napier has started bringing in his teammates to join in the extra lifts or runs caused by McClain’s tardiness.

Then, on Sunday, tweets started to emerge (albeit from questionable sources) that McClain was no longer with the program.

Here, McClain’s agent, Hector Rivas, seems to have taken issue — tweeting to set the record straight.

Rivas seems to have some support on the Gator staff as well, as defensive backs coach Will Harris seemed to voice his own displeasure with the rumor.

It seems that a few social media users may have jumped the gun, but that doesn’t mean McClain’s short tenure at Florida has been stress-free.
