The NFL revealed 35 compensatory picks awarded to 16 teams on Friday, March 14, updating the order for the 2025 NFL Draft scheduled for April 24-26. Earlier, on Tuesday, March 11, the league had previously announced 35 compensatory picks granted to 15 teams for the upcoming draft.

Unpacking Compensatory Picks: What They Are and Why They Hold Value
Compensatory picks are granted to NFL teams to account for the loss of compensatory free agents during the prior offseason. These picks are in addition to the standard allocation of seven draft selections (one in each round).
According to the NFL’s guidelines, teams that lose a greater number of top-rated compensatory free agents (CFA) than they signed during the preceding year qualify for compensatory draft picks. These picks are placed between the third and seventh rounds based on the value of the free agents lost.
