Colorado QB Julian Lewis Drops Heartbreaking Reaction To Losing Star WR Omarion Miller To Transfer Portal

Colorado Buffaloes star wide receiver Omarion Miller has officially announced his plans to enter the NCAA transfer portal this January. This decision comes on the heels of a breakout 2025 campaign where Miller emerged as the Buffaloes’ No. 1 receiver.

Meanwhile, his teammate, quarterback Julian Lewis, expressed his disappointment at Miller’s departure as he reacted with a sad comment on Instagram that included a heartbreak emoji:

    “My 💔”

The timing of the departure is particularly stinging for Lewis, as the freshman signal-caller recently committed his future to Colorado. Lewis has said he is “a Buff through and through” and stated after their November loss to Arizona State that he has “no reason to go,” directly addressing portal rumors.

Miller, meanwhile, this season has compiled a total of 45 catches and eight touchdowns during a difficult 3–9 season for the Colorado-based side. He was one of the most, if not the most, consistent players on an otherwise struggling offensive side.

Meanwhile, Lewis has thrown for 589 yards and four touchdowns in the limited game time this year.

Ohio State And Arizona State Emerge As Potential Fits Amid Miller’s Departure

With Miller’s announcement about leaving the Buffaloes’ to join the transfer portal ahead of the 2026 college football season, there has been a lot of speculation around his next destination.

The Ohio State Buckeyes’ star wide receiver Carnell Tate is touted to be a potential first-round NFL draft pick and if that does come to fruition, the Buckeyes could potentially look towards Omarion Miller to fill the void.

The Arizona State Devils too are expected to lose Jordyn Tyson, potentially opening a wide receiver slot for Miller if he chooses to join the Arizona-based program.

However, programs like the Georgia Bulldogs, Kentucky Wildcats and Florida Gators could also emerge as potential transfer destinations for the 6’2 wide receiver.
