If you think Colorado HC Deion Sanders has only been in the spotlight because of his son’s draft drama, think again. Coach Prime never follows the usual playbook. Whether coaching at Colorado or making waves in the world of lifestyle, he knows how to grab attention.
With college football’s regular season nearing, there’s no better time for Nike to launch the rebirth of a classic. The buzz is real, and when Coach Prime is involved, you know it’s going to be a moment to behold.

Coach Prime Announces New Diamond Turf ’93 Cleats Ahead of 2025 Season
As Colorado HC Deion Sanders pursues success next season without his two biggest stars, 2024 Heisman winner Travis Hunter and Sanders’ QB son Shedeur, it’s crucial to see who steps up next.
This explains why Colorado football and Coach Prime have recently remained in the spotlight. To make the most of that buzz, the 57-year-old coach shared exciting news with fans—he’s bringing back an iconic piece of sneaker history.

Coach Prime has teamed up with Nike to release the Diamond Turf ‘93 cleats, a modern take on his legendary 1993 sneaker. The cleats will be available on May 29 and will retail for $220.
These high-performance cleats feature the classic midfoot strap, metallic silver accents, and bold “PRIME” branding. Unlike the original, this updated version swaps the air-cushioned midsole for molded cleats, making them a perfect blend of nostalgia and on-field performance.
The announcement follows Sanders’ recent tribute to his mother, when he released the Nike Air DT Max ’96 “Love Letter to Connie.” However, that sneaker didn’t sell out within a few minutes, like his past releases. It took nearly 24 hours to clear out. Some believe the bold all-red colorway may have limited its appeal.

This latest release is expected to fly off the shelves, thanks to its on-field functionality and nostalgic appeal. So, for those looking to buy this special edition, be ready on May 29.
Unlike the previous release, this sneaker piece doesn’t seem like it will last more than one minute on the market.
