‘It’s Hard Not Having Them Around’ — Colorado OL Jordan Seaton Shares Feelings on Shedeur Sanders’, Others’ NFL Departure

Colorado OL Jordan Seaton spoke on a podcast recently about the leadership of Travis Hunter, Shedeur Sanders, and more superstars on their way to the NFL Draft.

Apart from Shedeur Sanders, the Colorado Buffaloes are losing several other key players to the 2025 NFL Draft. As head coach Deion Sanders continues revamping his roster and coaching staff for the upcoming season, players are getting acclimated to the absence of some key voices in Boulder.

Jordan Seaton Shares True Feelings on Departure of Key Players

Offensive tackle Jordan Seaton recently discussed the program’s changes and the Buffs’ training sessions following the end of the 2024 season. Coming out of IMG Academy, Seaton played in all 14 games for the Buffs, including their Alamo Bowl loss to the BYU Cougars.

In a YouTube video posted by “Well Off Media” on Tuesday, Seaton discussed how Shedeur and the other players established a solid foundation within the program.

“It’s hard coming to the facility, you know, not having Shedeur, Trav [Hunter], LaJohntay [Wester], Jimmy [Horn Jr.], [LaVonta] Bentley,” Seaton explained. “You know it’s hard coming to the facility and not having those guys around. But they left a good foundation here. So now all we gotta do is put our head down and work.”

This foundation will help future talents arriving in Boulder follow those work ethics and compete for success in 2025.

Shedeur and his brother Shilo are both gearing up for their professional journey in the NFL this year. Apart from them, 2024 Heisman winner Travis Hunter is projected to be a top-three first-round pick in April. Coach Prime also lost WRs Jimmy Horn Jr. and LaJohntay Wester.

CFB Analyst Makes His Pick Between Shedeur Sanders and Cam Ward as the No.1 Overall Pick

Both Shedeur and Miami Hurricanes QB Cam Ward are the front-runners in this year’s class for the NFL Draft. On Saturday’s episode of the “Ryan Russillo Podcast,” ESPN analyst Todd McShay shared his perspective on who he thinks will be selected first overall in April.

“Going into the Senior Bowl and starting to talk to people, and then on the field, in the practice field, and talking to different general managers and scouts and stuff, I think there is a healthy debate in terms of the quarterbacks this year,” McShay explained. “I think the majority right now would say Cam Ward over Shedeur.”

Both Sanders and Ward got the opportunity to meet with the Tennessee Titans, who have the first overall pick this year. It will be interesting to see whether they decide to draft another quarterback this year after drafting Will Levis in 2024.
