Colorado AD Drops Straight-Forward Response on Deion Sanders’ Future Amid Crushing 3–7 Season in 2025

Colorado’s difficult 2025 campaign has sparked a wave of concern around the program and raised uncomfortable questions about Deion Sanders’ long-term future. The Buffaloes sit at 3–7 overall and hold just one conference win in the Big 12.

With bowl hopes fading, the conversation has shifted toward whether Sanders can steady the program or if the pressure is beginning to take a toll. Amid the criticism, Sanders asked for patience and insisted he remains the right man to lead Colorado.

He said he needs more time and emphasized his belief in the direction of the team.

“You’ve got the right man. I promise you, you do. And I’m going to prove that to you. Just give me an opportunity and a little more time, and I’m going to prove that to you,” Sanders SAID.

A fan responded to the clip, supporting Sanders but admitting that the seat feels hot given the results and the rising expectations around the program.

“I believe him.. but the seat getting hot,” the fan wrote.

That’s when Colorado athletic director Rick George stepped in. He replied to the fan, stating that the head coaching seat is not hot. He backed Sanders strongly and said he believes in what lies ahead for the Buffaloes.

“The seat is not hot. We believe in what is ahead for this program,” George RESPONDED.

Colorado still has challenges to overcome. Sanders must sharpen the roster again, address defensive weaknesses, and restore consistency on offense. But with the athletic director publicly supporting him, he can work without the uncertainty that often hangs over coaches during tough seasons.

Burglary Took Place At Deion Sanders’ Son, Shedeur Sanders’ House

Away from the on-field issues, the Sanders family dealt with an alarming situation. Shedeur Sanders, now with the Cleveland Browns, had his house burglarized during his NFL debut weekend. The break-in occurred while he was away for the game.

Police estimates indicate that around $200k worth of property was taken from the residence. Authorities are still investigating, and no suspects have been publicly identified.

Sanders entered his first professional game for the Cleveland Browns in Week 11 after starter Dillon Gabriel exited with a concussion. But the result wasn’t what he’d have hoped for. He completed 4 of 16 pass attempts for 47 yards, threw one interception, and did not record a touchdown.

Sanders said afterward that he did not play good at all and noted the need to build chemistry with his receivers and improve his preparation.
