Week 9 of the college football season is here. That means that fans will have some exciting matchups with big standings implications over the weekend. However, with each passing week, the injuries continue to pile up. That is an unfortunate reality of college football, and one each team must deal with. Here is a look at some of the most significant injuries in college football heading into Week 9.

College Football Week 9 Injury Report
Sam Leavitt
Arizona State QB Sam Leavitt has been dealing with an undisclosed injury this season that has kept him out of the lineup. However, he returned for last week’s win over Texas Tech and is listed as probable again this week against Houston.
Thomas Blackshear
Georgia wide receiver Thomas Blackshear is listed as questionable with an undisclosed injury. While he is only listed as questionable, his expected return date is at the start of November.
Talyn Taylor
Georgia wide receiver Talyn Tayler is listed as questionable with an undisclosed injury. Like Blackshear, his estimated return date is in early November.
Whit Weeks
LSU LB Whit Weeks is listed as doubtful for this week’s game against Texas A&M. If he is absent, he will miss his second straight game because of an ankle injury. His absence has had a big impact on the Tigers’ defense.

Charles Jagusah
Notre Dame offensive tackle Charles Jagusah is listed as out for this week’s matchup with an arm injury. He has dealt with injuries his entire college career, missing all of last season with an injury.
Jermod McCoy
Tennessee CB Jermod McCoy is listed as questionable for this week’s game with a knee injury. He has not appeared in a game this season after a strong sophomore campaign.
CJ Baxter
Texas RB CJ Baxter is listed as probable for Saturday’s game against Mississippi State. He has not played since Week 3 because of a hamstring injury.
Cade Klubnik
Clemson QB Cade Klubnik missed Saturday’s game against SMU with an ankle injury. He is now still listed as questionable on the depth chart. Fortunately for the Tigers, they have a bye this week.
John Mateer
Oklahoma QB John Mateer has not reaggravated his injury since returning two weeks ago. He will play on Saturday against Ole Miss.
Justice Haynes
RB Justice Haynes is listed as questionable for Saturday’s game against Michigan State with an undisclosed injury. He did not play last week because of his injury.
