Charlotte 49ers Depth Chart

The Charlotte 49ers football program represents the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in football, competing in the NCAA Division I Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) as a member of the American Athletic Conference (AAC). Charlotte's football program is relatively young, with their first season coming in 2013 at the FCS level before quickly transitioning to FBS in 2015.
The 49ers play their home games at Jerry Richardson Stadium, located on the university's campus in Charlotte, North Carolina. Despite its short history, Charlotte has shown rapid growth and development in its football program. Its move to the AAC in 2023, following eight years in the CUSA, marked a significant step forward for the program, providing increased visibility and competition.
While the 49ers are still building their football traditions and rivalries, their presence in a major metropolitan area with a rich sports culture positions them well for future growth and success in college football.
