Week 1 of the 2025 college football season is upon us, and several major programs have questions about their roster. Injury issues trouble Alabama, Texas, Kansas State, Auburn, Clemson, and Hawaii, which can influence Week 1 results and gambling lines. Here’s the latest update.

College Football Week 1 Injury Report
Texas Longhorns, WR, Emmett Mosley V

Mosley is doubtful to open at Ohio State with a lower-leg injury. His position is going to be a game-time decision.
Alabama Crimson Tide, RB, Jam Miller
Miller is not available vs. Florida State due to a collarbone injury. He was projected to be the star back at Alabama.
Alabama Crimson Tide, DL, Tim Keenan III
Keenan is out due to a high-ankle sprain, which may leave him out longer, weakening the Alabama defensive front.
Alabama Crimson Tide, OG, Jaeden Roberts
Roberts is still doubtful in the concussion protocol. There will be monitoring of his availability to kick off.
Kansas State Wildcats, RB, Dylan Edwards
Edwards is away this week following an ankle injury in Week 0. He also remains questionable for Week 2 versus Army.
Hawaii Rainbow Warriors, QB, Micah Alejado
Alejado, who completed 210 yards and 2 TDs in the first match vs. Stanford, will do so with an ankle injury against Arizona. The Wildcats have been shifted to -17.5 to -13.5 favorites, as the total has been changed to 52.5.
USC Trojans, DL, Jahkeem Stewart
Stewart is a game-time decision due to a foot injury. Coach Riley noted it’s “not a serious issue,” but his availability remains uncertain.
Auburn Tigers, DB, Champ Anthony
After suffering a broken leg in 2024, Champ Anthony is now cleared and practicing at full speed, positioning him for a Week 1 return.
Clemson Tigers, RB, Jay Haynes
Redshirt sophomore running back Jay Haynes will not play in Clemson’s opener against LSU as he continues to recover from ACL surgery
Bottom Line
Week 1 opens with major injuries across contenders. Alabama will be short of several starters with Florida State, Texas will be waiting on Emmett Mosley, Kansas State will have lost its top rusher in Dylan Edwards, and Hawai’i’s control hopes will be on less than 100 percent Micah Alejado against Arizona. Clemson also joins the list of injuries as Dabo Swinney confirmed that Jay Haynes is still progressing and won’t suit up against the Tigers. These storylines will continue to affect teams and should be interesting to monitor through Week 1.
