Friday night contained controversial calls in a Miami Hurricanes win, and Rutgers moved to 4-0 for the first time since 2012, but the Saturday slate of games is where college football Week 5 really comes into its own. Between all-conference clashes and teams looking to maintain undefeated runs, one game stands out amongst them all: Georgia vs. Alabama.
The Bulldogs and Crimson Tide will clash under the Saturday night lights in the headline game of the week, perhaps the entire season. After a disappointing display against Kentucky, can Kirby Smart’s team assert their dominance in the SEC? Or will Kalen DeBoer lead his Alabama group to a famous win that helps cement the start of the post-Nick Saban era in sensational style?

You can catch that game on ABC (and ESPN+) as the cherry on the cake of an SEC triple header on the network. The Kentucky Wildcats travel to Oxford to take on Lane Kiffin’s high-flying Ole Miss Rebels at noon. Meanwhile, there are QB controversies aplenty as the Oklahoma Sooners take on the Auburn Tigers in Jordan Hare stadium in the network’s 3:40 p.m. ET window.
ESPN has Big 12 battles to bookend their Saturday coverage as the Oklahoma State Cowboys and Kansas State Wildcats clash with conference consequences on the line at Noon ET. Then “Big 12 After Dark” takes center stage for the network as the Arizona Wildcats and Utah Utes resurrect their Pac-12 rivalry with both teams still in contention for the Big 12 title.
