College Football Recruiting Class Rankings 2025

As the college football season approaches, which teams are recruiting at an elite level and which contender will have the top 2025 class?

With the season almost here, it’s time to take a look at the country’s top 2025 recruiting classes, a list dominated (unsurprisingly) by one conference, as six of the top 10 teams come from the SEC. But who else is recruiting at a high level?

Here are the current top 10 recruiting classes based on the On3 Industry Rankings.

    2025 Recruiting Class Rankings

    10) Miami Hurricanes

    Top Recruit: Hylton Stubbs, S

While it doesn’t have a true headliner, this is a really strong class for the Hurricanes, who continue to recruit at a high level. Hylton Stubbs is the highest-rated recruit and one of eight top 200 recruits.

For the most part, the Hurricanes have been working in their familiar recruiting grounds in southern Florida, venturing slightly further north to grab a few guys from Georgia and the Panhandle.

The two exceptions are Brock Schott and Luke Gilbert, two midwestern tight ends with good upside.

The Hurricanes will look to have a strong season to boost their recruiting efforts as in recent years, the on-field results haven’t matched the off-field recruiting rankings.

    Miami’s 2025 Recruiting Class

    • Hylton Stubbs, S, Mandarin (FL)
    • SJ Alofaituli, IOL, Bishop Gorman (NV)
    • Jaboree Antoine, CB, Westgate (LA)
    • Bryce Fitzgerald, S, Christopher Columbus (FL)
    • Gavin Nix, LB, IMG Academy (FL)
    • Gerard Pringle, RB, Armwood (FL)
    • Elijah Melendez, LB, Osceola (FL)
    • Brock Schott, TE, Leo Senior (IN)
    • Chris Ewald, CB, Chaminade-Madonna (FL)
    • Luke Nickel, QB, Milton (GA)
    • Amari Wallace, S, Miami Central (FL)
    • Luka Gilbert, TE, Lakota West (OH)
    • Max Buchanan, IOL, Seminole (FL)
    • Herbert Scroggins, Edge, Benedictine Military School (GA)
    • Daylyn Upshaw, WR, Central (AL)

    • Mykah Newton, DL, Newberry (FL)
    • Demetrius Campbell, OT, Orlando Christian (FL)
    • Takaylen Muex, IOL, Fletcher (FL)
    • Jaden Wilkerson, OT, Edgewater (FL)

    9) Clemson Tigers

    Top Recruit: Isaiah Campbell, DL

Clemson continues to recruit at a high level in the high school ranks, even if the team isn’t really utilizing the transfer portal. As has become a tradition for the Tigers, their class is led by elite defensive linemen.

I’ve followed Isaiah Campbell for a while, and he’s really grown as an interior pass rusher at Southern Durham. Ari Watford and Amare Adams were highly-coveted by other teams, and the Tigers will likely have to continue to fight off suitors for their services. And Bryce Davis could have the highest upside of all of them.

The class lacks an elite receiver, which the Tigers have lacked on the field in recent seasons. That’s probably a priority as the Tigers look to put a bow on this class.

    Clemson’s 2025 Recruiting Class

    • Isaiah Campbell, DL, Southern (NC)
    • Ari Watford, Edge, Maury (VA)
    • Amare Adams, DL, South Florence (SC)
    • Tae Harris, S, Cedartown (GA)
    • Bryce Davis, Edge, Grimsley (NC)
    • Gideon Davidson, RB, Liberty Christian (VA)
    • Graceson Littleton, CB, Wiregrass Ranch (FL)
    • Brayden Jacobs, OT, Buford (GA)
    • Marquis Henderson, RB, Belton-Honea Path (SC)
    • Logan Anderson, LB, Fyffe (AL)
    • Brake Hebert, QB, Central Catholic (MA)
    • Logan Brooking, TE, Savannah Christian (GA)
    • Easton Ware, LB, Liberty Christian (VA)
    • Carelton Preston, WR, Freedom (VA)
    • Rowan Byrne, IOL, Iona Prep (NY)

    8) Texas A&M Aggies

Top Recruit: Husan Longstreet, QB, Centennial (CA)

It’s not hard to see what the new staff is trying to do on the recruiting trail at Texas A&M. The Aggies have loaded up on prospects from the country’s biggest talent producers, with 13 prospects from Texas and four highly-ranked players from California.

The Aggies secured the commitment of Centennial High School’s Husan Longstreet in mid-April, and he quickly became the cornerstone of the class.

The Aggies had a strong spring and early summer thereafter, building out their class and increasing its depth.

There’s a lack of highly-ranked linemen on the list, but the Aggies are loaded on the defensive line this season and will probably be just fine on the offensive side of the ball as well.

    Texas A&M’s 2025 Recruiting Class

    • Husan Longstreet, QB, Centennial (CA)
    • Adonyss Currie, CB, Quartz Hill (CA)
    • DJ Sanders, DL, Bellville (TX)
    • Noah Mikhail, LB, Bonita (CA)
    • Kiotti Armstrong, TE, Jasper (TX)
    • Marco Jones, Edge, San Ramon Valley (CA)
    • Cobey Sellers, CB, Shadow Creek (TX)

    • Deyjhon Pettaway, S, Paetow (TX)
    • Deandre Riden, RB, DeSoto (TX)
    • Marcus Garcia, IOL, Ryan (TX)
    • Landon Rink, DL, Cy-Fair (TX)
    • Jonte Newman, OT, Bridgeland (TX)
    • Kelvion Riggins, LB, Forney (TX)
    • Connor Carty, IOL, Prosper (TX)
    • Tristan Norman, WR, Carver (AL)
    • Chace Sims, DL, Randle (TX)
    • Tyler Thomas, IOL, Dickinson (TX)
    • Joshua Moses, IOL, Legacy (TX)

    7) Oregon Ducks

Top Recruit: Dakorien Moore, WR, Duncanville (TX)

Unlike several of the other teams on this list, the Ducks have to cast a wider net and recruit nationally to have success. Fortunately for Oregon, it’s something the staff has done well.

Specifically, the Ducks have had a ton of success in Texas this cycle, headlined by the shocking commitment of Dakorien Moore. I’m in this industry and don’t use that word lightly — it was truly an incredible job by the staff to pull Moore away from more local favorites Texas and LSU.

Trey McNutt and Dallas Wilson join as other five-stars, giving the Ducks an impressive, top-heavy class that allows them to be in the top 10 with only 15 total commits.

    Oregon’s 2025 Recruiting Class

    • Dakorien Moore, WR, Duncanville (TX)
    • Trey McNutt, S, Shaker Heights (OH)
    • Dallas Wilson, WR, Tampa Bay Tech (FL)
    • Dorein Brew, CB, Conroe (TX)

    • Nasir Wyatt, LB, Mater Dei (CA)
    • Akili Smith Jr., QB, Lincoln (CA)
    • Alai Kalaniuvalu, IOL, Bishop Gorman (UT)
    • Cooper Perry, WR, Notre Dame Prep (AZ)
    • Matt Johnson, DL, De La Salle (CA)
    • Demetri Manning, IOL, Bellevue (WA)
    • Rocco Graziano, K, Sheldon (OR)

    6) Auburn Tigers

Top Recruit: Jared Smith, Edge, Thompson (AL)

The Tigers have made a huge push over the summer for several of their top targets, landing several of them after the June visit slate concluded. They’re still making a push for coveted quarterback Deuce Knight, who they should be able to flip from Notre Dame at some point during the year.

With that comes the challenge of holding onto those recruits, and the Tigers probably have the widest range of potential outcomes as a strong year would help them close with a few more targets, while another disappointing season could cause a mass exodus of recruits.

Head coach Hugh Freeze is selling a vision right now, and it’s working. It remains to be seen if he’ll have to do that without on-field results.

    Auburn’s 2025 Recruiting Class

    • Jared Smith, Edge, Thompson (AL)
    • Derrick Smith, Ath., Southside (AL)
    • Anquon Fegans, S, Thompson (AL)

    • Jakaleb Faulk, LB, Highland Home (AL)
    • Antonio Coleman, DL, Saraland (AL)
    • Blake Woodby, CB, St. Frances Academy (MD)
    • Broderik Shull, Bixby (OK)
    • Alvin Henderson, RB, Elba (AL)

    • Jourdin Crawford, DL, Parker (AL)
    • Devin Williams, CB, Buford (GA)
    • Donovan Starr, CB, Ravenwood (TN)
    • Ryan Ghea, TE, Milton (GA)
    • Hollis Davidson, TE, McIntosh (GA)
    • Tai Buster, IOL, AL Brown (NC)
    • Dante Core, CB, Choctawhatchee (FL)
    • Bryce Deas, Ath., St. Frances Academy (MD)
    • Jacobe Ward, IOL, Benedictine Military (GA)
    • Spencer Dowland, OT, Athens (AL)
    • John McGuire, P, Thompson (AL)

    5) Tennessee Volunteers

Top Recruit: David Sanders Jr., OT, Providence Day (NC)

The Volunteers are scorching on the recruiting trail, having picked up David Sanders Jr. from North Carolina powerhouse Providence Day (A consensus top-five recruit) and the top quarterback in the 2026 class, also from the Tar Heel State.

The Volunteers have slowly expanded their recruiting footprint under Josh Heupel in the last few years, landing top players from Nevada, Indiana, Kansas and New Jersey, among others.

Tennessee’s ability to land top-tier offensive linemen talent despite running its super spread system that often scares off the big boys is impressive.

    Tennessee’s 2025 Recruiting Class

    • David Sanders Jr., OT, Providence Day (NC)
    • Douglas Utu, IOL, Bishop Gorman (NV)
    • George MacIntyre, QB, Brentwood Academy (TN)

    • Jayden Loftin, Edge, Somerville (NJ)
    • Radarius Jackson, WR, Sheffield (TN)
    • Nic Moore, IOL, Jefferson County (TN)
    • Christian Gass, LB, Eastside (GA)
    • Jack Van Dorselaer, TE, Southlake Carroll (TX)
    • Antoni Kade Ogumoro, IOL, Elgin (OK)
    • Sidney Walton, S, Moody (AL)
    • Charles House, DL, North Mecklenburg (NC)
    • Tre Potaet, CB, Verona Area (WI)
    • Dylan Lewis, CB, Milton (GA)
    • Joakim Dodson, WR, Baylor School (TN)
    • Justin Baker, RB, Buford (GA)
    • Darrion Smith, DL, St. Frences Academy (MD)
    • Tyler Redmond, CB, Milton (GA)

    4) Georgia Bulldogs

Top Recruit: Isaiah Gibson, Edge, Warner Robins (GA)

This class might not be elite by Georgia’s standards, but the Bulldogs will probably lurk quietly and end up at the top or very near the top of the rankings by the time the early signing period rolls around.

That being said, no team in college football has locked down its home state the way the Bulldogs have. If they want a player from Georgia, they’ll get him and that’s been apparent in this class.

At one point or another, Juan Gaston, Zayden Walker, Jontae Gilbert, and Ethan Barbour all leaned in other directions, some heavily. All of them are Georgia commits. The top two recruits in the Peach State are both heavy Georgia leans, and landing those two would move the Bulldogs up this list.

    Georgia’s 2025 Recruiting Class

    • Isaiah Gibson, Edge, Warner Robins (GA)
    • Elyiss Williams, TE, Camden County (GA)
    • Zayden Walker, LB, Schley County (GA)
    • Talyn Taylor, WR, Geneva Community (IL)
    • Shamari Earls, CB, Thomas Dale (VA)
    • Darren Ikinnagbon, Edge, Hillside (NJ)

    • Cortez Smith, IOL, Parkview (GA)
    • Jontae Gilbert, CB, Douglass (GA)
    • Juan Gaston, IOL, Westlake (GA)
    • Ethan Barbour, TE, Milton (GA)
    • Todd Robinson, Ath., Valdosta (GA)
    • Mason Short, IOL, Evans (GA)
    • Jaylan Morgan, S, Rockvale (TN)
    • Tyler Williams, WR, Armwood (FL)
    • Dontrell Glover, IOL, Langston Hughes (GA)
    • Thomas Blackshear, Ath., Calvary Day School (GA)

    • Bo Walker, RB, Cedar Grove (GA)
    • Stephen Shivers, DL, Brentwood Academy (TN)
    • Landon Roldan, WR, North Oconee (GA)
    • Jayden-Jamal Hanne, DL, Santa Margarita Catholic (CA)

    3) LSU Tigers

Top Recruit: Bryce Underwood, QB, Belleville (MI)

The top of this class is, uh, impressive. The Tigers gained a commitment from near-consensus No. 1 overall recruit in the country, Bryce Underwood, early in January, just three days after getting Harlem Berry, the top running back in the country.

In July, the Tigers got another wave of commitments, including corner DJ Pickett and receiver Derek Meadows, a huge recruit out of Las Vegas with offers from just about every team in the country.

While the class is great on paper, I think the Tigers would like to pick up one or two more talented defensive linemen to help a position that has been an issue under Brian Kelly.

    LSU’s 2025 Recruiting Class

    • Bryce Underwood, QB, Belleville (MI)
    • DJ Pickett, CB, Zephyrhills (FL)

    • Jaiden Braker, LB, South Gwinnett (GA)

    2) Alabama Crimson Tide

Top Recruit: Ty Haywood, OT, Ryan (TX)

It sure doesn’t look like there’s going to be a dropoff between Nick Saban and Kalen DeBoer on the recruiting trail, as the Crimson Tide are off to a roaring start before DeBoer even coaches a game in Tuscaloosa.

Incredibly, the Crimson Tide are sitting in second with just one of the top 10 recruits from the state of Alabama. But the Crimson Tide have a five-star commitment from four players, one each at four of the sport’s most important positions (quarterback, wide receiver, offensive tackle, cornerback).

The Crimson Tide have 10 top 100 commits, and there’s a chance they could pick up a couple of more over the course of the season.

    Alabama’s 2025 Recruiting Class

    • Ty Haywood, OT, Ryan (TX)
    • Caleb Cunningham, WR, Choctaw County (MS)
    • Keelon Russell, QB, Duncanville (TX)
    • Dijon Lee, CB, Mission Viejo (CA)
    • Michael Carrol, IOL, IMG Academy (FL via PA)
    • Akylin Dear, RB, Quitman (MS)

    • Justin Hill, Edge, Winton Woods (OH)

    • Anthony Rogers, RB, Carver (AL)
    • Kaleb Edwards, TE, Oak Ridge (CA)
    • Micah DeBose, IOL, Theodore (AL)
    • Abdullah Sanders, LC, Mater Dei (CA)

    • Mal Waldrep, IOL, Central (AL)
    • Alex Aspauruhov, P, San Joaquin Memorial (CA)
    • Steve Mboumoua, DL, Notre Dame (Quebec, CAN)

    1) Ohio State Buckeyes

Top Recruit: Tavien St. Clair, QB, Bellefontaine (OH)

The nation’s top recruiting class, at least as of now, belongs to the Ohio State Buckeyes. Led by the nation’s No. 2 overall recruit, Tavien St. Clair, a local kid from just outside of Columbus, the Buckeyes’ class is both elite at the top and deep in terms of playmakers at the bottom of the commit list.

The Buckeyes have 10 top 100 commits, including seven of the top 51 and three of the top nine players in the country. Not only that, but the Buckeyes are going into the backyards or other elite teams and sniping recruits those teams want.

Ohio State has the top player in Alabama, the second-ranked player in Texas, and top 10 recruits in talent-rich states like Florida, Oklahoma, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and North Carolina.

It’s been a while since someone has been able to hold off the SEC elites for the top overall recruiting class in the country, but the Buckeyes just might be able to do it in 2025.

    Ohio State’s 2025 Recruiting Class

    • Tavien St. Clair, QB, Bellefontaine (OH)
    • Devin Sanchez, CB, North Shore (TX)
    • Na’eem, Offord, CB, Parker (AL)
    • Riley Pettijohn, LB, McKinney (TX)
    • Faheem Delone, S, Good Counsel (MD)
    • Carter Lowe, OT, Whitmer (OH)
    • Quincy Porter, WR, Bergen Catholic (NJ)
    • Zahir Mathis, Edge, Imhotep Institute (PA)
    • Tarvos Alford, LB, Vero Beach (FL)
    • Bo Jackson, Ath., Villa Angela – St. Joseph (OH)
