    Saturday College Football Player Props

    Cam Skattebo 40+ Receiving Yards

Everything goes through Cam Skattebo for the Arizona State Sun Devils. His rushing total is the second-highest of the weekend (behind Ashton Jeanty’s total, of course). But his receiving total is much lower than I initially expected. He hasn’t done much in the passing game over the last two games, but before that, he had several explosive outings as a receiver.

The Iowa State Cyclones defense has the talent to succeed when stacking the box against the run, so I expect the Sun Devils to counter with some early screens to Skattebo. He’ll only need three or four catches to pass 40 yards.

Parker Navarro 175+ Passing Yards (+225)

Parker Navarro has had much more success as a runner for the Ohio Bobcats in recent weeks, probably because he’s been playing in windy and rainy conditions for the past month. On Saturday, he’s in a dome, and Ford Field’s conditions could make moving the ball through the air easier.

Given that opportunity, I think Navarro and an inconsistent but explosive Ohio passing attack can hit a few chunk plays, allowing Navarro to pass his alternate total. He struggled last time against the Miami (OH) Redhawks; I don’t expect the same this time.

Oscar Delp Anytime Touchdown Scorer (+470)

Sportsbooks love losing money on Oscar Delp anytime touchdowns recently. I’ve cashed this bet at +400-or-longer odds in three straight games. The reasoning is simple: Since Carson Beck had an atrocious four-game stretch, he’s targeted the tight ends more in the red zone.

Delp has scored four times in the last three weeks for the Georgia Bulldogs. When things get tough, he’s the outlet, especially recently. I love that sportsbooks continue to misprice Delp’s touchdown odds.

Chandler Fields 225+ Passing Yards (+114)

This Chandler Fields alternate total on FanDuel gives significantly better odds than for his standard over on DraftKings Sportsbook. This is a pure numbers play. If one sportsbook is going to provide me with a number that is 20% better than a competitor’s, I will take it.

Chandler Fields has flashed the potential to be an elite passer for the Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns against average defenses, and the Marshall Thundering Herd has the offensive firepower to make sure this isn’t a blowout in the second half. Expect Fields to continue throwing late in the game and to put up a nice passing total.

Drew Allar 25+ Rushing Yards (+155)

DraftKings Sportsbooks gets us right back with extra value. This alternate cover is +122 on FanDuel, giving us more value on the green site. Drew Allar runs more against better defenses. He’s reached this number in his last three losses, all against quality defenses.

I like the Oregon Ducks a lot in this one, so I expect Allar to try to make up for the difference in quality with his legs. It’s a weird trend, but I’m willing to take advantage this weekend.

Brashard Smith 100+ Rushing Yards (+154)

When quality teams have committed to the run against the Clemson Tigers, they’ve had success. And with the fresh scars of LaNorris Sellers running over them last weekend, I expect Dabo Swinney’s team to commit to stopping Kevin Jennings. That should give Brashard Smith some running room.

Smith thrives in close games, going over this number in his last three outings that have finished within three scores. The SMU Mustangs will likely be in a four-quarter fight for their playoff lives, so Smith should get a steady dose of carries against the Tigers.
