    Friday College Football Player Props

Darius Taylor 70+ rushing yards (-104)

FanDuel has a 70+ yard alternate over close to even-money for Darius Taylor, while other sportsbooks have the Minnesota Golden Gophers running back’s standard over/under set in the mid-70s. It’s not a huge difference, but enough to catch my eye.

It’s going to be extremely cold and moderately windy in Madison on Friday, so it would make sense for the Gophers to get their best running back a few more touches. Taylor has struggled a bit against more robust rushing defenses but should get enough touches to get over on Friday afternoon.

Ben Gulbranson 200+ Passing Yards (+104)

Ben Gulbranson has only played five halves this season, but he’s thrown for at least 99 yards in all of them. He’s shown a willingness to push the ball down the field, and against the Boise State Broncos, the Oregon State Beavers should stay committed to the pass.

Gulbranson’s passing totals aren’t extraordinarily high, but he’s shown he can easily exceed this number, even against decent defenses. As long as Oregon State isn’t completely blown off the ball every play, Gulbranson should get to 200 yards.

Ollie Gordon II 100+ Rushing Yards (+185)

It’s a small sample size, but it turns out Ollie Gordon II is still a talented player who thrives when accompanied by competent quarterback play. The Colorado Buffaloes defense still struggles to stop the run, and I think Oklahoma State Cowboys head coach Mike Gundy would be crazy not to run Gordon until his legs fall off in his last game with the program.

The Cowboys have been more competent offensively in recent weeks, so while the defense will struggle, the offense could keep pace with a potent Colorado attack.

Jaxson Dart 350+ Passing Yards (+150)

Lane Kiffin will want to run up the score on Friday to make the Ole Miss Rebels look better in the eyes of the College Football Playoff Selection Committee. Accordingly, I like Jaxson Dart to shell a terrible Mississippi State Bulldogs defense.

Dart played poorly at the end of last week’s game against the Florida Gators, but with half of the running back room injured, I expect the Ole Miss offense to be aggressive with the ball in the Egg Bowl.

Elic Ayomanor 70+ Receiving Yards (+115)

Right now, the Stanford Cardinal has one easy way to score on offense. That’s to simply throw the ball up to star receiver Elic Ayomanor and let him make a play. In a game on Friday that is likely to be high-scoring, I like the alternate receiving prop for the talented pass catcher.

The San Jose State Spartans should hold up their end of the bargain, scoring quickly and forcing Stanford to counter with quick strikes of their own. The way I see this playing out, Ayomanor should get several early targets before hitting a big play in the second half to send him over his total.

Dylan Raiola Under 195.5 Passing Yards

It will be 19 degrees and windy in Iowa City at kickoff on Friday, and our Nebraska vs. Iowa prediction projects a low-scoring game. I don’t trust Dylan Raiola (who played high school in Arizona, Texas, and Georgia) to surpass a number he failed to reach in three of his last four games.

I haven’t even mentioned the Nebraska Cornhuskers’ opponent, a stingy Iowa Hawkeyes defense that has allowed just 6.3 yards per pass this season. This is one of my favorite bets of the weekend.

    Oscar Delp Anytime Touchdown (+300)

There are weaknesses in the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets’ pass defense, and Carson Beck and the Georgia Bulldogs seem to have found a rhythm by throwing to the tight ends. Getting Oscar Delp to score at +300 feels like a steal, given that Beck is looking to him more in the red zone.

I don’t love touchdown props, but as a longer-odds play in a game that should have many points, primarily through the air, this makes far to much sense to not take advantage of.
