College Football Bye Week 9: Full List Of Teams Missing In Action This Week Ft. Ohio State, Georgia

Week 9 of college football has already begun, with some key matchups including Ole Miss visiting Oklahoma and Texas A&M visiting LSU. However, while it is a busy week filled with marquee matchups, several teams will also be in their bye week as they rest, relax and take a break as they get ready for Week 10. These teams also get to have better chances at getting their injured players back, as a week off can give them more time to heal.

This week, three of the AP’s Top 25 teams will be missing in action, including a team that has yet to be defeated. There are also some struggling teams that need a bye week as they try to regroup and refocus their efforts for the season.

Ranked College Football Teams with a Bye In Week 9

    Ohio State

After a run that saw the team go 7-0 to start the season, the defending national champions Ohio State Buckeyes finally get a bye week for Week 9, which means the team can rest their stars as they continue their campaign for a back-to-back natty.

They are still the No. 1 team in the country according to the AP Poll, and this is despite them taking a break this week. The Buckeyes will be taking on the struggling Penn State next week.

    Georgia

The No. 5 Georgia Bulldogs also get a bye week after going four ranks up. Alabama still has their number, being their only loss of the season so far, but they are now back to their winning ways and are looking quite good. The bye week is just a cherry on top as the team finally gets a bit of a rest. They will take on the Florida Gators next week once they come back from their bye.

    Notre Dame

Notre Dame is climbing up the rankings again and has found itself at No. 12 and are getting their wind back after a few hiccups this season. They are still a good contender and will be visiting Boston College after their bye week break on Nov. 1.
