    Georgia Tech vs. Florida State

    • Spread
      Florida State -10.5
    • Moneyline
Florida State -425, Georgia Tech +380
    • Over/Under
      55.5 points

Georgia Tech is returning to Dublin, where they defeated Boston College 17-13 in 2016. This marks Florida State’s first game outside the United States in school history in college football. In the 2023 Aer Lingus College Football Classic at Aviva Stadium in Dublin, the Notre Dame Fighting Irish dominated Navy with a commanding 42-3 victory.

This matchup will be the 27th time the ACC competitors have collided, with the Seminoles emerging victorious the last time the two teams met (2022). Florida State also holds a 15-11-1 overall record.

    Montana State vs. New Mexico

    • Spread
      Montana State -12.5
    • Moneyline
Montana State -500, New Mexico +380
    • Over/Under
      54.5 points

Bronco Mendenhall returns to the sidelines with the challenge of rejuvenating New Mexico football, but his debut will be a tough test against one of the top FCS teams in 2024.

Montana State comes into the season with a clear edge in returning production. It boasts a starting quarterback, the entire offensive line, its top four running backs, and a leading receiver from a high-powered offense that ranked second in the FCS in scoring and rushing and finished 8-4 in 2023.

On the other hand, New Mexico is widely projected to struggle in 2023 as a program needing a serious boost. However, Mendenhall’s track record raises the question: Can he accelerate the Lobos’ rebuild and surprise in his first year back?

    SMU vs. Nevada

    • Spread
      SMU -24.5
    • Moneyline
      SMU -2100, Nevada +1600
    • Over/Under
      56.5 points

The former WAC rivals will meet for SMU’s first game as a member of the ACC. This marks the first matchup between SMU and Nevada since Christmas Eve 2009 when the Mustangs hammered Nevada 45-10.

The line currently sits at SMU -24.5, but there’s a chance it will climb back to 25 or higher before kickoff. This line opened at SMU -19.5 in May and has increased since then. The total opened at 53.5 in May and has also risen to 56.5. It’s hard to imagine the market reacting in a way that brings this spread and total down.

    Delaware State vs. Hawaii

    • Spread
      Hawaii -40
    • Moneyline
      OFF
    • Over/Under
      56.5 points

Ah, the nightcap. Nothing in college football betting is more exhilarating than making a play on the late game in Hawaii. And this line feels like the golden days of the Rainbow Warriors when the late, great Colt Brennan was racking up passing records under June Jones.

Delaware State finds itself in a difficult spot. After a dismal 1-10 season that saw them struggle on both sides of the ball, the Hornets enter this year projected to once again be among the worst in FCS. And 2024 has started just like 2023 finished, as Delaware State missed its initial flight to Hawaii.

The team was set to embark on its 10.5-hour journey to the island of Oahu on Tuesday but missed the flight. The squad was scheduled to depart from John F. Kennedy Airport in New York City, but a reported bus issue caused them to miss their cross-country connection.

Delaware State’s lone win last year came against a Division II opponent, Virginia University of Lynchburg, underscoring just how challenging things were. With few impactful additions in recruiting or the transfer portal, the Hornets face an uphill battle again in 2024.

Hawaii, meanwhile, closed last season on a strong note, winning three of its final four games. However, head coach Timmy Chang’s offense must move in the right direction and find more production in 2024.

With a daunting matchup against UCLA next on the schedule, this game against Delaware State is crucial for fine-tuning their offense and preparing for one of the toughest tests on Hawaii’s schedule in 2024.
