2025 College Football Best Bets: Colorado Buffaloes’ Projected Regression Highlights Top Win Total Wagers

2025 win totals were released on FanDuel for several teams. Read on to find out some of our college football best bets for the 2025 season.

A wildly entertaining 2024 college football season is officially in the books after the Ohio State Buckeyes’ thrilling victory over the Notre Dame Fighting Irish. That means one thing for diehard college football fans: It’s time to look at the 2025 season.

FanDuel Sportsbook has released 2025 win totals for 20 Power Four teams. Here, we break down our three early college football best bets.

CFN’s Favorite 2025 College Football Win Totals

Win totals aren’t always my favorite bets, as we don’t know exactly what teams will look like next season and you’re allowing the sportsbook to hold you money for 11 months.

Still, if you have a good pulse on a few teams, this is the best time to find value in the market. Accordingly, there are a few 2025 win totals that I love. The rest of the Power Four win totals should drop in a couple of months, with the Group of Five totals being released early in the summer.

But, there are 20 win totals you can bet now. Here are my three favorites.

College Football Best Bets: 2025 Win Totals

Alabama Crimson Tide Over 8.5 Wins (-186)

These odds aren’t that long, but this total will almost surely go up. Kalen DeBoer has four career losses in his second, third, or fourth year with a school (That’s four losses in five seasons).

Betting the under here means you think he’s going to match that in one season with the Alabama Crimson Tide.

I’m here to tell you that isn’t going to happen. In fact, I’ve already sprinkled Alabama to win the national title at +1600 odds.

DeBoer just doesn’t lose once he’s established a culture at a school. Alabama should be a double-digit favorite in at least seven games and even if the Crimson Tide lose to both teams ranked ahead of them in this year’s final AP Poll, they’d need an additional two losses to miss out here.

Again, that’s not happening. The odds are short, but take the 53% win here. Nothing is guaranteed, but I think this total will bump to at least nine wins by the beginning of the season, if not higher.

Colorado Buffaloes Under 6.5 Wins (+102)

Here’s a plus-money gamble on the Colorado Buffaloes to take a slight step back when they lose three top 10 picks at crucial positions.

Travis Hunter counts twice in that exercise, as the Buffaloes have to replace his production at receiver and corner. They replace quarterback Shedeur Sanders as well, and though Kaidon Salter and Julian Lewis, our top incoming freshman quarterback in the country, have talent, there’s bound to be a learning curve.

Colorado has Georgia Tech in the non-conference and a fairly tough conference slate that features five road games.

Included in the four home games? Both Big 12 Championship Game participants (The Iowa State Cyclones and Arizona State Sun Devils) and second-place BYU Cougars. Ouch.

Here’s to thinking Deion Sanders’ squad regresses in 2025.

Indiana Hoosiers Under 8.5 Wins (-106)

It was a perfect storm in 2024 for the Indiana Hoosiers: New coach, elite transfer portal class, ridiculously easy schedule. Here’s to thinking the Hoosiers regress to the mean in 2026.

The majority of the schedule is still easy for the Hoosiers, but they get the Penn State Nittany Lions, Iowa Hawkeyes, Oregon Ducks, and Illinois Fighting Illini in 2025, with three of the four on the road.

That’s not great news for a team that loses 16 starters. The key here is Fernando Mendoza, who will need to replicate Kurtis Rourke’s production in 2025. He’s got the talent, but the margin for error will be much lower in 2025 than it was in 2024.

I’m a huge fan of Curt Cignetti, I’m just not sure the Hoosiers have the depth to make another College Football Playoff run.
