College Football Analyst Raises Alarm Over Severe Gulf South Weather

Taking over his official X (formerly Twitter) account, Brando, the national sports commentator for Fox Sports, wrote,

Brand had previously tweeted about the weather conditions in Texas. He wrote, “Looks as if we’re in the bullseye weather-wise again. A lot of wind and rain, maybe hail, etc. Colliding weather fronts from the west and the South. The southeast once again has to prepare for what’s already a horrible flooding event in Texas. Prayers accepted. Thanks.”

According to a report on the Weather website, the region is experiencing severe thunderstorms and flooding rainfall in Louisiana, Mississippi, and Alabama. The report further states that there are chances of “flooding, large hail, damaging winds, and a few isolated tornadoes” in the coming hours.

The aforementioned website also states that southeast Louisiana might face severe rainfall rates, which are expected to be more than an inch per hour. This might result in roadway blockage and “flood urban and poor drainage locations.”

Meanwhile, the National Weather Service has warned people not to drive in the flooded area, as it can allow water to enter the vehicle. While it’s tough to tell the depth of the water in the flooded part of roadways, the water can attack the car within minutes or even seconds.
