Fantasy Players to Watch This Year

Caleb Williams, QB | USC Trojans

The overall No. 1 on everyone’s board, it’s hard to find a better player to acclimate yourself with college fantasy football than the reigning Heisman Trophy winner Caleb Williams. A documented dual-threat, Williams’ floor is the highest of any quarterback because of a combination of factors, all starting up front with his athleticism.

Williams has tremendous arm talent and the ability to put the football wherever he wants to on the field. He’s also a gifted athlete with the ball in his hands, toting the rock for yards in bunches. That’s great for a college fantasy lineup because QB rushing yards are at a premium at times, considering in college the fact that when they take sacks, they lose rushing yards.

For Williams, however, that athleticism keeps him off the ground and allows him ample time to throw downfield or take off and make something out of nothing.

It’d be no surprise to see Williams be back in New York for the Heisman Trophy ceremony and leading the way in terms of total points scored in fantasy lineups once again.

Rasheen Ali, RB | Marshall Thundering Herd

Rasheen Ali is back, returning to the field healthy for the Thundering Herd in 2023. With a clean bill of health, it should surprise no one that he’s one of the top running backs in the country. With no one to hawk his touches out of the backfield, Ali will be the focal point of a team trying to figure out its identity. That means a lot of touches for a dynamic athlete, both on the ground and through the air.
