College Sports Network presents the top 10, as ranked by D1Baseball:
#1 Jamie Arnold
The number one ranked college baseball player is left-handed pitcher Jamie Arnold, who plays for Florida State University. He is 21 years old, 6’1″, and 192 pounds.
In three seasons of college baseball, Arnold has a 3.63 ERA. If that number doesn’t impress you too much, we’ll tell you that it’s inflated by his freshman season (2023) when he pitched for a 6.34 ERA.
After his stint in the Cape Cod League in the summer of 2023, Arnold was a different player. He pitched 19 games for the Seminoles in 2024, striking out 159 batters in 105.1 innings. He won 11 games, lost three, and his ERA was an excellent 2.98.
The 2025 season is shaping up to be a carbon copy of the previous season. Arnold has won four of the eight games he has pitched (one loss), struck out 57 batters in 41.1 innings, and has a 2.40 ERA.
#2 Aiva Arquette
Aiva Arquette is the big star for the Oregon State University Beavers, who he joined this season from the University of Washington. He plays second, shortstop, and third, is 6’5″, weighs 220 pounds, and is 21 years old.
Among his many attributes is his hitting ability, excelling in both contact and power. In his three seasons of college baseball, he has a BA of .323 with 122 hits in 96 games, including 22 doubles, two triples, and 28 home runs. He has batted in 85 runs and struck out less than once per game (84).
