Back in September, Olivia Dunne went viral while supporting her boyfriend, Pittsburgh Pirates pitcher Paul Skenes, during his last start of the 2025 season. The images of a gleeful and excited Dunne made the rounds on national TV and social media as she watched Skenes finish the year with an ERA of 1.97.

But there was another detail some fans noticed. Sweat stains could be seen on her armpits as she raised her arms in excitement. The image surprised some.

Now she has turned the somewhat embarrassing moment into a business opportunity, partnering with Secret Deodorant in a playful marketing campaign in which she explains how the product can help her avoid future similar situations.
“Master class in capitalizing,” explained one fan
“Turned an awkward moment into a brand deal icon behavior 🔥,” said a gleeful fan
“Turning lemons into lemonade. Amazing,” joked another person
Somehow, men seemed to be almost unaware of the incident.
“Girls sweat? I have an existential crisis now 🤯,” said one person
“Lmao, making bank off being attractive and sweating at a baseball game! Where do I sign up?,” joked someone else
Fans, in general, praised her positivity.
“It’s refreshing to see someone turn a moment like that (which wasn’t really a big deal) but flip it into this! Business mentality,” explained one fan
They also praised the marketing idea behind the campaign.
“What a brilliant advert this is! Top tier marketing 👏,” said praiseful fan
Some did seem to find the entire situation silly.
“Just don’t sweat at Paul’s games anymore lol,” wrote someone else
How did Paul Skenes and Olivia Dunne meet?
Both Dunne and Skenes were student-athletes at LSU, where they won national titles in their respective sports (gymnastics and baseball). They met through friends who introduced them, with Skenes’s roommate having dated Dunne’s.
They started dating in August 2023, months after their seasons were finished, and they initially met. Initially, she couldn’t see him play, as their athletic calendars conflicted. Their relationship seems to be moving in a serious direction, with Dunne recently having bought a house in Jupiter, Florida, and Skenes helping her move.
