Detroit Tigers pitcher Jack Flaherty is coming off his first season with the Detroit Tigers after winning the World Series with the Los Angeles Dodgers in 2024. He has had a strong MLB career, dating back to his debut in 2017 for the St. Louis Cardinals. However, while he is known for his success on the field, he also has a lot of success off of it.
Flaherty is in a relationship with former professional soccer player Katie Johnson. She played professionally in the NWSL from 2017 to 2024, officially announcing her retirement in December 2024.
Since her retirement, Katie Johnson has been enjoying a life of relaxation. She is now relaxing on the Nayarit beaches. She was asked in a comment on Instagram how much she is enjoying them. Johnson responded by posting a photo of herself in a cowboy hat and bikini on her Instagram story while saying how much she loves the beaches.
“But actually my favorite place,” Katie Johnson wrote.
How Long Have Jack Flaherty and Katie Johnson Been Dating?
The exact timeline of the relationship between Jack Flaherty and Katie Johnson is not 100% clear. They could have started dating a while ago, but they only went public about their relationship a few months ago. Johnson posted several photos from their date at a three-Michelin-star restaurant on July 17. Both Flaherty and Johnson posted photos of the couple together in a photobooth in early August.

The couple has not hesitated to be public about each other on social media since the announcement. With the couple hard launching their relationship, Johnson was able to publicly support the Detroit Tigers in the MLB playoffs.
The Tigers defeated Cleveland in the wild-card round. However, they then lost 3-2 to the Seattle Mariners in the ALDS.
Jack Flaherty will now prepare for his second season with the Detroit Tigers. Before this past season, he signed a two-year, $35 million contract with the Tigers. It is his second stint with the Tigers. He was a member of the team in 2024 before being traded to the LA Dodgers in 2024.
