Mets Catcher Francisco Alvarez’s Wife Poses In Black And White Bikini As Couple Enjoys Beachy Getaway

New York Mets catcher Francisco Alvarez recently posted both himself and his wife on social media going on an intimate vacation. On Friday, Aug. 29, Alvarez uploaded a photo of himself and his wife, Nahomi Rojas, going on a getaway on the beach on his Instagram stories, with Rojas reposting it into her own Instagram stories shortly after, as the upload uses the song, “Grupo Niche” by Busca Por Dentro, as background music.

Rojas is then seen wearing a black, two-piece bikini with white outlines all over, as Alvarez went with an all-white outfit, which includes a white button-up polo shirt, white shorts and even a pair of white Crocs. He then embraces Rojas from behind for a candid and cute snap of her as both of them are smiling in each other’s company. Rojas even wrote a caption to her repost that reads, “La cancion es todo,” with a laughing and a red heart emoji.

Currently, the 2025 MLB season is ongoing, but it seems as though Alvarez decided to take some time off the pitch and go to the beach with his wife as he is currently nursing a ulnar collateral ligament sprain in his right thumb that he suffered back on Aug. 17 during the Little League Classic. During his rehabilitation process for it, he then fractured his left pinky during his first rehab assignment on Wednesday, Aug. 27.

Alvarez is yet to suit up for the Mets since his first injury on Aug. 17. But, much to the delight of Rojas and the whole Mets faithful, a recent report by Sports Illustrated indicates that Alvarez will be in the lineup as a designated hitter on Saturday, Aug. 30, for the Triple-A Syracuse. Nevertheless, Alvarez will have to undergo surgery on his injured hands once this year’s MLB season concludes.

The Mets currently have an overall record of 73-63, with their latest game ending in a loss to the Miami Marlins on their home pitch, Citi Field, through a three-point, 11-8, defeat. Their next game will be on the next day, Sunday, Aug. 31, against the same team, still in their home arena.

Francisco Alvarez and Nahomi Rojas Welcomed Their First Child in June of this Year

On June 11 of this year, Francisco Alvarez was placed on paternity leave by the New York Mets and missed a few games of his 2025 MLB campaign. This is because he and his wife, Nahomi Rojas, welcomed their first child the next day, on June 12. This was seen on Alvarez’s Instagram story, which was a photo of him holding his son, whom they named Luciano Javier, for the first time ever. Alvarez now looks to return as soon as possible to his duties as a catcher for the Mets.
