On Thursday, Madison and Erik Swanson enjoyed a sun-soaked beach day. Madison was in a chic blue and white striped bikini while the pitcher was in black swim shorts. The backdrop of the photo was the ocean. Madison added a playful caption to her Instagram story:

    “If you’re a lobster, I’m a lobster.”

Erik Swanson and Madison met in 2016 through mutual friends before they started dating. They tied the knot in 2018 and went on to welcome two children. They are parents to a son named Toby and a daughter named Parker.

Last month, the couple shared an important news regarding their family. They announced their third pregnancy, revealing their newborn is due in Jan. 2026. In the clip, Madison’s two children can be seen kissing her belly, sending their love to future sibling. She captioned the Instagram post:

“The kids are absolutely thrilled to be adding to the chaos! January 2026 can’t come soon enough 🤍”

Erik Swanson & Family Faced Tragedy Last Year But Turned It Into A Grateful Gesture

Erik Swanson and Madison’s son Toby was struck by a car at a Clearwater Beach hotel in Feb. 2024. Swanson and family were in Tampa Bay for spring training in Dunedin with the Blue Jays.

Pediatric orthopaedic surgeon Drew Warnick was waiting to do surgery on him since Toby suffered several injuries.

“He had an open pelvic fracture, which we considered a surgical urgency because there was a high risk of infection,” Warnick said via Hopkins Medicine. “The growth plate on his pelvis was also crushed, which had the potential to cause a deformity if not repaired appropriately. We put it back together and made sure the bones were properly cleaned to reduce the chance of infection.”

After the three-hour surgery was completed, Toby, who had a partially collapsed lung, a fractured elbow and a significant forehead cut, was put into pediatric intensive care unit (PICU) for four days before spending the remaining 12 days hospitalized.

“Toby had a lot of people in his corner praying and thinking of him,” Madison said. “Toby makes an impact on people very easily. He even made an impact on the nurses with his cheery demeanor.”

After Toby’s successful recovery, Swansons donated over 350 toys to the hospital that cared for him.
