Houston Astros starting pitcher Lance McCullers Jr. recently saw his wife, Kara Kilfoile, post all about her seashore getaway with their children on social media. On Monday, Oct. 6, Kara took to her Instagram stories to share a series of snaps, showcasing her beach vacation at Laguna Beach, California, last weekend.
The couple booked the getaway after Lance McCullers wrapped up the 2025 MLB season with coach Joe Espada’ Astros against the LA Angels at Angel Stadium in Anaheim, California. Throughout the three-day affair that ended on Sunday, Sept. 28, Houston won two out of the three sets against the Angels, 4-3, 6-1, and 6-2.
In the first upload by Kara Kilfoile, she can be seen lying down and posing in the lounge area of their resort. She is seen wearing a white, two-piece bikini with matching accessories and a light brown bucket hat. Kara Kilfoile included a six-word caption in the photo to highlight how much she is enjoying the much-needed vacation.
“You can just leave me here,” Kara captioned with a black heart emoji.

The next upload by Kara on her Instagram stories confirmed their location, as she took a photo of a bead accessories shop that she and her family were at.

Much to the delight of Kara Kilfoile and the rest of the Astros faithful, Lance McCullers Jr. just wrapped up his 10th season in the MLB, all of which have been spent with the Houston-based franchise. The veteran pitcher was able to help the Astros finish the year with an overall record of 87-75. He was selected in the first round of the 2012 MLB Draft with the 41st overall pick.
