Colorado Buffaloes head coach Deion Sanders, also known as Coach Prime, watched as his son, Shedeur Sanders, had an impressive NFL debut on Friday night. Although it was only a preseason game, his performance had many people thinking he could compete for the starting job this season.
After the game, Shedeur had a brief interaction with Cleveland Browns analyst Tony Grossi. Shedeur confronted Grossi about his negative coverage of him since he was drafted a few months ago.
“I be hoping you got something positive to say about me because you only say negative things to say about me, and I’m like, I ain’t do nothing to you,” Shedeur Sanders said. “I ain’t seen nothing positive that you ever say for me.”
Grossi then said something which was difficult to make out in the video. Sanders then laughed before giving Grossi a half-hug, showing that Sanders was not too hurt by the situation. Sanders closed out the conversation by saying:
“That’s what I’m saying. C’mon Tony. What I do? What I do to you Tony?”

Tony Grossi did have something positive to say about Sanders after the game. He tweeted, saying that Sanders had an impressive debut and put pressure on Kenny Pickett and Dillon Gabriel for the backup role in Cleveland.
My bottom line on Shedeur Sanders’ impressive debut: He put the pressure on QB2 Kenny Pickett and QB3 Dillon Gabriel to get healthy and perform next week.

Shedeur Sanders Speaks About His NFL Debut
Shedeur Sanders’ NFL debut was the talk of the football world on Friday night. In a little less than three quarters, he completed 14 of 23 passing attempts for 138 yards and two TDs. After the game, Sanders spoke about his performance while staying humble.
“I’m comfortable with being uncomfortable, so that’s what it is,” Sander said. “I got pockets of finding my rhythm, and I got to get into that quicker, regardless of anything. But overall, I felt like me out there, and I couldn’t do it, of course, without the time. I couldn’t do it without the playcalling. I couldn’t do without anything. Did I play up to par? No, I don’t feel like I did. But overall, the main goal was to win, and that’s honestly what we did.”
The Browns are back in preseason action next week on Saturday against the Philadelphia Eagles.
