“I Dont Even Want To Yell”: $60M Worth Coach Prime Revamps Coaching Tactics After Challenging Cancer Battle

After months of hardship and recovery from successful bladder removal surgery, Deion Sanders is back in Colorado and is set to lead the Buffaloes in the 2025 college football season.

Upon his return to Boulder, the Buffaloes’ head coach, who is worth $60 million (via Celebrity Net Worth), addressed his players during the preseason conference room meeting. Coach Prime’s son, Deion Sanders Jr., covered the meeting and published the details of it on his Well Off Media YouTube Channel.

In one segment of his speech, Sanders spoke about how he wants to take a step back from his fiery approach and let his boys do the talking this season.

“We’re practicing on the game field today,” Sanders said (7:30). “When we’re on the game field, it’s game tempo. When we’re on the game field, it’s game speed. When we’re on the game field, it’s game thoughtfulness. Coaches, when we’re on the game field, you’re coaching like it’s a game. Staff, it’s a game.

“So I expect the game. I already told the coaches, I don’t even want to yell today, man. I want to sit back and just have a good time. I’ve been through hell. I just want to sit back and have a good time today. That’s what I want to do. Everything is full speed. We’re going to start off right. We’re going to end off right. We got that.”

Deion Sanders reaffirms his commitment to coaching Colorado

Until Monday’s emotional press conference, apart from his first son and a few compatriots, no one knew what Deion Sanders was going through the entire summer, which made him miss recruiting activities in Colorado.

It was revealed that Coach Prime had an aggressive form of bladder cancer. However, he underwent a successful injury to remove that bladder and replace it with a new one formed with the help of the small intestine.

Before this revelation, many started talking about Coach Prime’s potential step back from his coaching duties in Colorado. However, he brushed off those rumors on Monday.

“I always knew I was going to coach again. It was never in my spirit, in my heart, that God wouldn’t allow me to coach again,” he said. “I just didn’t want to be running down to the hospital once a week when I have all of this on my plate. I don’t want that. I was like, ‘OK, can they bring one of those machines and put them in the office?’”

It will be Sanders’ first season in Colorado without the presence of his quarterback son, Shedeur Sanders and safety Shilo Sanders. Both of them are about to begin their rookie years in the NFL.
