The Colorado Buffaloes football program as headed by head coach “Coach Prime” Deion Sanders, may also be in some internal turmoil as star sophomore offensive tackle Jordan Seaton posted a cryptic message on X recently that has led to some rumors around his future.
Seaton is a crucial member of the Buffaloes’ offense. He posted a vague but curious message. He wrote, “Been thankin’ God like crazy, not where I want, but it could be worse.”
In the college football world, when a key player mentions anything like this, it is often accompanied by transfer speculation.

He is arguably one of the best interior linemen in the country. Being a sophomore, he has already been named to watchlists for the Outland Trophy and the Lombardi Award. He has been dominant in games.
In 2024, Seaton became the first true freshman to start a season-opener at offensive tackle for Colorado. He received Freshman All-American honors. In 2025, he received the highest pass-blocking grade among all college football OTs in the season-opener.

Seaton’s Cryptic Message Comes Amidst Locker Room Concerns
In early August 2025, a shocking report from AthlonSports alleged serious problems in the Colorado locker room. The report claimed Seaton was involved in a violent brawl with a former teammate.
The brawl was with former Buffs offensive tackle Savion Washington. It was reported that it was part of some hazing or initiation process. Witnesses compared it to “two bears scrapping for food,” and suggested both players were left bloody. It was suggested that this was one of many.
The report is concerning, as Seaton also made a post recently about not being where he wants to be. It could be personal, but it could also be pertinent to the culture or environment of the Buffaloes. For Seaton, a poor team environment can be a significant area of concern in any decision he may make in the future.
Notably, Seaton was the victim of negative recruiting before deciding to commit to Deion Sanders and Colorado. He said that there were coaches at other schools who questioned him directly about his decision. One coach stated cynically, “What do you want to be a rapper or something?”
His recent message, however, could suggest that the reality of the situation is more complex.
