Deion “Coach Prime” Sanders has not been embracing just one role with his sons; he has also taken the role of being their coach ever since they were little.
Coach Prime has had a successful career in not one but two sports, and now has been doing a great job as a college football head coach. However, he didn’t let his success affect the growth of his sons.
During a recent interview with Romi Bean, Coach Prime, who has a net worth of $60M, according to Celebrity Net Worth, spoke about how he handles money with his kids:
“My sons are fearless. They’re very smart. They work their butts off. It ain’t like I gave them nothing. That’s what people don’t understand. It wasn’t like, you know, they’re not trust fund kids. They’re working kids. They had to earn every darn thing they got and they saw me work and I would sit down and teach them and educate them and inform them about when you work.” (15:45)
“You know, back in the day, we worked and you had to have two weeks of work,” he added. “Then they kept that check in the hole. You didn’t even get paid for during their month. So, that’s how it was. And I explained those old times to them. And they have a tremendous work ethic. And Shilo is so darn talented. I can’t wait to see if football is over, what’s next for him.”

Coach Prime Opens Up About What’s Next for Son Shilo Sanders
After going undrafted in the 2025 NFL Draft, Shilo Sanders signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as an undrafted free agent.
After Shilo Sanders was caught in a physical brawl with Bulls Tight end Zach Davidson during week 3’s preseason matchup where the ex Colorado safety was waived off from the roster.
A few days after being waived off, Shilo Sanders posted a video on his YouTube channel talking about what’s next for him in which he said god has blessed him with a lot of talents like acting, modeling and music, which he will now tap into.
Talking about his son’s future plans, Coach Prime said:
“We’re praying that he gets another opportunity to go with a team, but if he doesn’t, the plans have already been put forward for what he’s going to do next.”
