The 2025 NFL Draft is upon us, and so is your need to be prepared for all of tomorrow’s stars. Dive into our spotlight on Chris Paul Jr., featuring his scouting report, strengths and weaknesses, his recent draft projection, and where all the experts predict he could land.

Chris Paul Jr.’s NFL Draft Scouting Report
Chris Paul is a versatile linebacker with the speed and instincts to impact all phases of the game. At 6’1”, 235 pounds, he combines sideline-to-sideline range with exceptional tackling and strong hand usage.
His natural feel for spacing helps him disrupt passing lanes, while his precise angles and sure tackling make him a reliable defender in pursuit.
The biggest hang-up with Paul is his arm length. With sub-30″ arms, he’s an outlier at the LB position, and there’s reason to project difficulty deconstructing blocks with his length deficiency.
That said, Paul makes up for it on tape with his outstanding range, instincts, and finishing ability at contact. He could ultimately be the outlier who beats the odds and becomes a solid starter at MIKE or WILL.
Chris Paul Jr.’s NFL Draft Projection
In CSN’s 7-Round 2025 NFL Mock Draft from April 12, Paul landed in Round 3 with the 75th overall pick. James Fragoza had this to say:
Why doesn’t Chris Paul Jr. get more love? He did everything for Ole Miss’ defense last season, thriving as a run defender, blitzer, and cover man at the second level.
And on CSN’s 2025 NFL Mock Draft for Day 3, Paul was selected with the 112th pick in Round 4 to the New Orleans Saints.
Previously, CSN’s Bjorn Bergstrom had this to say about Paul:
Though the 49ers have a plan to replace the departed Dre Greenlaw with third-year man Dee Winters, it wouldn’t hurt to add another playmaker at that position. Paul Jr. registered 86 total tackles and 3.5 sacks for the Rebels in 2024.
