Michael Vick, a current college football coach and once a dual-threat quarterback, has been named to the 2025 College Football Hall of Fame class. He was at Virginia Tech for two years, wherein the Hokies had a 22-2 record.
He took the team to the 1999 BCS National Championship Game, which saw him finishing third in that year’s Heisman race. His time with the Virginia Tech Hokies led to him being selected as the top pick in the 2001 NFL Draft by the Atlanta Falcons and now sees him as a member of the College Football Hall of Fame.

“Vick revolutionized the QB,” a fan said.

“Generational talent!!! One of my fav college players. 🐗Razorback fan my whole life but Vick had me pulling for VTech to win their division during his era and after!!… Salute to him,” another fan commented.
Meanwhile, some talked about how he’s come back to college football as a head coach at Norfolk State. He was introduced as NSU’s new coach on Dec. 23, 2024, after the school parted ways with Dawson Odums, who spent four years with the program and accumulated a 15-30 record. NSU needed to make a dynamic change as it had only made one playoff appearance after moving to the FCS level in 1997.
“Congrats to Vick! Now onto bigger and better things as head coach at Norfolk State! 🏈,” a fan said.
Since retiring after spending 13 seasons in the NFL, Vick has had a media career as an analyst for Fox Sports.
“He should have been in it years ago,” a fan wrote.
Joining Vick in the 2025 HOF are Urban Meyer, Nick Saban, Michael Strahan, and several other distinguished players and coaches, in the 18-player and four-coach class.
