Teddy Bridgewater is under investigation. Rivals High School’s X account shared a report from On3 Sports on Thursday about the Florida High School Athletic Association (FHSAA) investigating allegations that the Miami Northwestern coach solicited donations from the school’s supporters.
Bridgewater posted a message on Facebook on Monday, asking fans to help with the team’s expenses that Miami Northwestern was not ready to cover. According to the Palm Beach Post, Bridgewater claimed that he spent $14,000 of his own money to cover his team’s four-night preseason training camp. He added that he spent huge amounts on his team’s pride sets, pre-game meals, and recovery trucks after games.
Football fans reacted to the news of Bridgewater’s investigation on X. Some of them jokingly urged Syracuse coach Fran Brown to help in the matter. Brown recently grabbed the headlines when he secured the commitment of five-star recruit Calvin Russell III from Miami Northwestern.
“Fran Brown got the bail money. Nah FHSAA is a complete joke,” one fan commented.

“And y’all wonder why we can’t keep the best and brightest in Florida,” one fan wrote.
“Wait punish for providing the kids with a pre-game meal. What is happening?” another fan asked.
“Yea let’s make sure we limit our kids even more. That’s a great idea,” one fan shared.
“Bridge over troubled water,” another fan posted.
The FHSAA has punished football programs earlier for receiving impermissible donations. The First Academy Royals were handed a $36,000 fine and a two-year postseason ban recently.
