‘He Has To Win’: CFB Analyst Sets Expectations Straight As LSU HC Brian Kelly Writes Cheque Worth $1,000,000

Louisiana State Tigers head coach Brian Kelly is facing a lot of pressure to win a national championship for LSU, especially as the last three coaches for the school have won one. This season, he would possibly have his best lineup to date, and this is only increasing the pressure on him to win it all. This is according to college football analyst Adam Breneman, who says that the LSU coach has found himself in a must-win situation.

These comments came after Kelly made some big NIL moves and secured NIL donations worth one million dollars.

“Brian Kelly just wrote a $1,000,000 NIL check. Now, that means he has to win,” Breneman said. “Brian Kelly of LSU is matching up to one million dollars in NIL donations for his school. This is his most talented roster since he has been in Baton Rouge. They just beat out Miami for an All-Big 12 safety in AJ Haulcy and added elite transfers at every level, and he still has not made the college football playoff during his time at LSU. ”

“The reality is, at LSU, 29 wins in three years is not enough. The three guys before him all won national titles. Right now, Brian Kelly’s has a Citrus Bowl and a Texas Bowl. Again, not gonna cut it,” he added.

Breneman noted that with all that NIL money and all that talent coming into Baton Rouge, as well as a Heisman-caliber QB in Garrett Nussmeier staying in the school, Kelly better give all those NIL investors a return on their investment and win a national title, not just a Citrus Bowl.

Garrett Nussmeier Aiming To Win a National Title Under Brian Kelly

Garrett Nussmeier choosing to stay at Baton Rouge was a big sigh of relief for Kelly, who had struggled to hold on to players this past year. The star quarterback was all praises for his coach and is aiming to win a national title for LSU.

“Coach Kelly’s an unbelievable coach, and I’m fully behind him 100%,” the quarterback said. “I fully believe in what he teaches and what he preaches. He does an unbelievable job with us. It’ll come to light this year. I can’t wait for people to see that.”

Nussmeier was integral to that Texas Bowl win, though LSU finished with a 9-4 record. Despite this, the Tigers are aiming for more changes this season, especially with all the NIL money being poured to the football program.
