Since an impressive start at Miami, Carson Beck has been struggling on the field, most recently during the Week 10 game against SMU, where the Mustangs won by just six points. Moreover, former Georgia star Beck has been facing backlash for apparently turning his back on his teammates because of his blunt statement about the Miami staff.
Beck said SMU ran the same defense the entire time, and all he had to do was execute the play that the staff asked him to. He added that if given an opportunity to change something, he would’ve, but he had to stick to the calls, drawing various reactions from the fans online.
“Crazy that he has tanked his draft stock just by talking after games alone,” one fan predicted.
“Well, that did it kid shows he’s a problem and my Browns will likely draft him come April… with that said it’s nice to see Miami sh*t the bed yearly since 2003,” another fan added.
“That’s his f*cking problem 4 million dollar boy… Carson should be able to look at the defense and adjust his plays, but he can’t … bad enough he threw his teammate under the bus now he’s doing it to the coach!!!! Somebody needs to be held accountable,” another fan expressed frustration.
“I genuinely want to know where the hype with this kid came from. He’s always been average to below average. Low accuracy. Folds in high-pressure situations. Doesn’t take accountability. Seriously can anyone tell me?” another fan questioned.

Carson Beck Opens Up About Breakup With Hanna Cavinder
Carson Beck dated ex-Miami basketball star Hanna Cavidner briefly some time ago, which ended with a very public breakup. While Cavinder expressed her excitement about Beck joining the Hurricanes and coming to the same campus as her, their relationship ended soon after.
Talking about the breakup during an ESPN interview on October 2, 2024, Beck said he made a mistake as a person, while opening up about how much it sucked going through something like that with your life all over the internet.
“You make mistakes as a person, but it sucks that you have to go through something like that with someone that you care about, and now it’s all over the Internet,” Beck told ESPN. “Half of what you see in the media is true. Half of what you see is not true. So, people pick their side of the story and run with it. The people that know the truth know the truth. But it’s been difficult.”
Cavinder had once shared that the reason she broke up with Beck was because of how he used to flip people off, along with various cheating rumors that came up.
