Carson Beck and No. 10 Miami Hurricanes just lost to the SMU Mustangs in a stunning upset. The game finished 26-20 in overtime, with Beck throwing a game-losing interception near the end zone in overtime. The interception allowed the Mustangs to go on the offense and score a game-winning touchdown.

Fans online seem to have lost faith in the quarterback and in the possibility of the Hurricanes making the College Football Playoff later this year.
“Carson beck stinks and should have been benched 4 weeks ago,” demanded one fan.
“Carson Beck sucks. Both losses his fault and the worst part about it is both times were insanely unnecessary,” said another person.
Some fans seem to have lost any hope of a College Football Playoff participation.
“Carson Beck Sucks!!! The season is over!! Ever since Mario declared the Canes state champions, They’ve lost focus of the season ahead. Inexcusable penalties that ultimately cost them the game. Smu has far less talent and still won. Mario days are numbered! The alumni is heated 🤬,” declared one angry fan.
Should Miami have stayed away from Carson Beck?
“Miami asking for a refund on Carson Beck. Coulda told em…,” explained someone.
“Carson Beck is the most b*tch-made player in the history of college football,” said another person angrily.
“Death, taxes, and Carson Beck throwing picks,” joked another person.
Maybe the problem is not Beck but Mario Cristobal?
“Just not sure Mario Cristobal is a net positive on gameday for Miami. Really good recruiter and team builder but hard to imagine how his team will miss 12 team playoff with Cam Ward and now Carson Beck in back-to-back years. Oregon is better with Lanning too. That’s a gut punch,” explained someone.

Carson Beck’s Numbers Against The SMU Mustangs
Beck was once again a prolific passer, with 274 passing yards, two touchdowns, and an acceptable completion percentage of 68.4%. However, the great sin of his performance this Saturday afternoon was his two interceptions.

In the second quarter, he threw an interception to Ahmaad Moses on Miami’s 28th yard line. This led to a quick one-play drive, which ended on a 28-yard touchdown pass from Kevin Jennings to Yamir Knight.
Beck threw yet another interception to Moses in overtime at the one-yard line of the SMU Mustangs. What should’ve been a score for Miami ended up as an interception that allowed SMU to go on the offensive and seal the game.
