College Football Analyst Expresses Major Concerns About Georgia Star’s Consistency

Despite ranking Carson Beck in the list of Top 10 QBs for 2025, Jake Craig is uncertain regarding the Miami Hurricanes player’s stability. During a recent conversation on Craig & Company, Craig stated his honest reviews on the ranking.

“I almost left Carson Beck off this list, but I got him at eight,” Craige said, mentioning Beck’s time at Georgia. “I got him at eight because I respect what he was able to do in Georgia.”

“I know how talented he was at Georgia, but I thought last year—you know—he looked slightly shaky in the pocket.”

According to program officials, Beck underwent elbow surgery in the offseason to repair his ulnar collateral ligament (UCL). This resulted in him being sidelined for the Bulldogs in the College Football Playoff.

The former Bulldogs player was injured in the team’s 22-19 overtime victory against Texas in the first half of the SEC championship on December 7 and didn’t play any more meaningful snaps for Georgia.

Still, he is expected to return as the Hurricanes open their season against Notre Dame on August 31.
