During a recent conversation with Pete Nakos, Clemson quarterback (QB) Cade Klubnik shared his thoughts on the top QBs in the country. He picked Arch Manning, Garrett Nussmeier, Drew Allar, and Ty Simpson, while also providing a reason behind his choice.
In an era when the players are starting to have the upper hand against their teams, loyalty and sticking to the process are not very commonly seen.
While players like ex-Tennessee QB Nico Iamaleava and ex-Georgia star Carson Beck choose move to new teams in pursuit of more money, players like Manning, Garrett Nussmeier, Drew Allar, and Ty Simpson believe in developing gradually with a team.
Reacting to Klubnik’s picks, fans expressed their varied thoughts:
“Carson Beck caught a stray?” one fan conspired.
“I don’t think he’s wrong either. I think all these kids that hit the transfer portal more than once have development issues and won’t pan out in the NFL. Staying and developing in one system still counts for something,” another fan nodded in agreement.
“They are loyal bc they are getting paid an insane amount. You think other schools are offering Arch more than what Texas gives him?” another fan voiced his opinion.
“I don’t know if this logic makes sense. Caleb Williams, Jayden Daniels, and Cam Ward are the three most recent top QBs in CFB coming out and they were all transfer,” another fan pointed out some facts.
“I’d stay away from the west coast QBs. It’s definitely a culture issue too. Loyalty is learned. I know it’s a bit of a stereotype but it’s fact. Also, kinda think he took a shot at Nico,” another fan wrote.
“Totally agree, the biggest thing that NIl and today’s transfer portal has brought in is a complete lack of loyalty from players, starting young with the “it’s all about the money” mindset,” another fan agreed with Klubnik.
Clemson QB Cade Klubnik told @PeteNakos_ that he has ‘so much more respect’ for players who stay loyal🤝
“Guys like Arch [Manning], Garrett Nussmeier, Drew Allar and Ty Simpson… . The guys that believe in the program and believe in the culture that they’re at… . There’s a… pic.twitter.com/0Em01l4xxQ

Arch Manning’s Dad Cooper Shares Eli and Peyton’s Involvement in His Football Journey
During an exclusive chat with The Athletic’s Bruce Feldman, Cooper Manning shared that while many fans would expect Arch to show glimpses of his uncles in his performance on the field, there’s no guarantee that it’s going to be the case.
Cooper shared that Arch Manning’s demeanor can look like Patrick Mahomes’ just as much as it can be after his uncles.
Arch’s dad explained that this is because while they’re family, Eli and Peyton weren’t around a lot and hence he can mimic whoever he ends up watching a lot.
“As much as they are great influences, they weren’t around a ton,” Cooper said. “I don’t think Eli ever saw Arch play a high school or college football game. He is coming in this year. Peyton would come in for a game or two occasionally. Arch would see them at the Manning Passing Academy and may see ’em at Mardi Gras, but that’s like five nights in a year, so it’s hard to say whether he’s ‘like them or like someone else.'”
