Cam Ward made the most of his lone season with the Miami Hurricanes in 2024. Before landing in Miami, Ward sharpened his skills with two seasons each at FCS Incarnate Word and Washington State, but in his senior year, he truly elevated his game.
In 2024, he completed 67.2% of his passes while leading the FBS with 4,313 yards and 39 touchdowns, offset by just seven interceptions. His NIL valuation skyrocketed, making him one of the most marketable names in college football.

Cam Ward’s NIL Rank After the 2024 Season
Ward is riding high after leading Miami to a flawless season. He has cemented himself as the frontrunner for the No. 1 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, where the Tennessee Titans are poised to select.
His dominance on the field has also translated into major off-field success, with top brands lining up to sign him to lucrative endorsement deals following his breakout year with the Hurricanes.
According to South Florida analyst Geo Milan, Ward’s marketability skyrocketed in 2024, landing him a NIL deal with luxury fashion giant Giorgio Armani. He became the face of their signature fragrance, ‘Acqua Di Gio.’
He also inked a deal with Adidas and partnered with Bose, even surprising his teammates with brand-new high-end headphones as a token of appreciation.
Ward’s endorsement portfolio doesn’t stop there—he’s also teamed up with EA Sports, C4 Energy, and Panini America. These deals have propelled his NIL valuation to an eye-popping $2 million, making him the 14th highest-paid athlete in the NCAA and the 9th richest in college football.
CFB Analyst Raises Questions on Ward’s Leadership
Ward is widely expected to be the first quarterback off the board—and possibly the No. 1 overall pick—in the 2025 NFL Draft. His stock has soared to new heights after a dominant season, but not everyone is completely sold.
On Fox Sports’ “Mock Draft 2.0,” analyst Rob Rang raised an interesting concern about Ward’s game. He pointed out that the quarterback thrives when surrounded by elite pass-catchers, relying heavily on their skill sets to maximize his production.
“When you watch Cam Ward on tape, there are an awful lot of highlight-reel type of plays, no question about it,” Rang said. “At the same time, what you don’t necessarily see in all those YouTube videos and highlight reels is how many times Cam Ward basically runs around and throws the ball up into the air, just hoping his talented skill position players come down with it.”
“There are some questions about Cam Ward’s leadership traits,” he stated. “So, again, there are a lot of different things out there that lead me to believe that Cam Ward is not the lock superstar in the NFL that perhaps his draft status might suggest.”
