The 2025 NFL Draft is right around the corner. The Miami Hurricanes quarterback Cam Ward, after the Combine week, has been impossible to ignore. His 2024 season was perhaps a precursor to what the world expects from Ward. In 2024 alone, Ward won the Davey O’Brien Award and also was crowned Miami’s first ACC Player of the Year. He threw 4,313 yards and 39 touchdowns while breaking school records.
Oh, and let’s not forget the wild comeback win against Cal, where he erased a 25-point deficit. With a record like that, it comes as no surprise that he is one of the top picks for the upcoming NFL draft. Beyond the great throws, there’s quite a bit to the man behind the helmet.

Ward was born on May 25, 2002, in West Columbia, Texas. His parents are Patrice and Calvin Ward. Cam is the youngest of four siblings. His dad, Calvin, works as a fuel buyer at a nuclear power plant. Meanwhile, his mom, Patrice, is a teacher and basketball coach. But what about his love life?
Ward has been seeing Nailah Landon, who has been by his side as he climbs the football ladder. Landon was in Chicago, Ill., and is an athlete in her own right. She did high school at IC Catholic Prep, where she played volleyball, basketball, and track & field and even earned Metro Suburban All-Conference honors.
However, it was volleyball that ultimately won Landon over. She started her career in volleyball at Barry University before transferring to the University of the Incarnate Word.
