The 2025 NFL Draft saw many players achieve their dreams of reaching the league. With the 105th pick, the New York Giants selected Cam Skattebo, perhaps the nation’s most beloved running back out of Arizona State.
Moments after Skattebo’s selection, his girlfriend, Chloe Rodriguez, posted an emotional five-word message and a couple’s photo on Instagram to celebrate his milestone.

Chloe Rodriguez, Skattebo’s girlfriend, marked his fourth-round selection by the Giants with a heartfelt Instagram post.
She shared a photo of the couple, captioned, “I love supporting you, keep making us proud. Time to head back east, go @nygiants.”
The 23-year-old Skattebo was overcome with emotion after the Giants took him at No. 105 overall. He’ll join a backfield that includes 2024 fifth-rounder Tyrone Tracy Jr. and veteran Devin Singletary.
“One of our favorite players in the draft,” Giants general manager Joe Schoen said of the Sun Devils standout. “The way he plays—mentality, toughness, competitiveness, grit—it’s exactly what we look for.”
Skattebo comes off an explosive season, rushing for 1,711 yards and 21 touchdowns. He also demonstrated his receiving ability, tallying 605 yards and three touchdowns through the air.
“He plays with great contact balance, he’s tough as nails, and you can use him in a variety of ways,” coach Brian Daboll said. “In the pass game, he can catch, run routes, even throw the ball. He’s got vision, quick feet and power.”
With Skattebo’s NFL adventure officially underway, Rodriguez is ready for their next chapter in New York.
In her Instagram Story, she posted a cozy snap of the couple as Skattebo donned his new Giants draft cap, writing, “Watching your dreams come true.”
