Cam Newton Boldly Predicts Shedeur Sanders To Lead Browns To Win Against 49ers in Week 13

Shedeur Sanders has kick-started his NFL journey with a thrilling win against the Las Vegas Raiders in week 12, an opportunity that came after 11 weeks, with no first-team reps and just a few minutes on the field.

The ex-Colorado quarterback impressed the fans as he completed 11 of 20, which is 60% for 209 yards with one touchdown and one interception, along with an 87.3 passer rating during the Raiders game.

He also threw an impressive 53-yard strike to wide receiver Isaiah Bond and flaunted his deep accuracy.

Now that Shedeur is gearing up to start against the San Francisco 49ers in week 13, Cam Newton predicts another win for the Browns:

“The San Francisco 49ers will struggle versus the Cleveland Browns defense.
Okay, which in essence now puts the onus back on Shadore to say we’re not expecting you to win us the game. Do your job. Play within yourself, but most of all protect the football. Yes. If you’re able to do those three things, that’s not special. That’s not do your job, play within yourself, and protect the football if you’re able to do that. Yeah. The Cleveland Browns will win the football game.”

“So when I say the Cleveland Browns will beat the San Francisco 49ers, it’s now become a situation where every quarterback must understand this trait and ability. I don’t need to go out here and win the football game. I just can’t go out here and lose the football game. ” Newton said on Tuesday during “4th&1 with Cam Newton” podcast.

Jason Whitlock Calls Out Shedeur Sanders for His Behavior After Raiders Win

Jason Whitlock has remained among both Shedeur and Deion’s biggest critics throughout their college and now their NFL careers.

He took to Twitter to express his frustration over Sanders’ attitude after the game, when he shared excitement about his performance and said that if he was able to do this after just one week of practice, imagine what he’d be able to do after a full offseason of practice.

Shedeur also showed off his bold confidence in the rest of his post-game interviews and said that a lot of people wanted him to fail, but it’s not going to happen.

These statements didn’t sit well with Jason Whitllock, who wrote:

“Shedeur Sanders mimicked the exact same behavior his father demonstrated after Colorado beat TCU three years ago. Prime Sexuals minicked the exact same behavior they showed after Colorado beat TCU three years ago.”

He further added that when one doesn’t learn from their past mistakes, the history tends to repeat itself.
