The Auburn Tigers and the Arkansas Razorbacks are meeting for their Week 9 showdown, but the Tigers may have been hit with an injury during this game. According to college football insider Pete Thamel, wide receiver Cam Coleman reportedly hurt himself and was helped off the field, with witnesses saying that he had been limping.

Thamel added that it had been a high right ankle sprain, and despite this, he is still trying to get back to the game, as he was seen jogging on the sidelines.

Apparently, he had been hurt during his team’s opening drive in the first quarter, as he was rolled up with an Arkansas defender during the Tigers’ first play of their second possession. He was then tended by several trainers but soon walked away using his own power while limping.
He left the field and has not come back yet as of writing, as the game is still going on. Cam Coleman had 27 receiving yards before he was hit and limped off the field. No updates on his condition have been released as of writing.
Losing Cam Coleman would be a big blow to the already-struggling Auburn Tigers, which currently has a 3-4 overall record. While his team struggled, the wide receiver has been doing will, already tallying 413 receiving yards on 30 successful receptions, with him getting two touchdowns after seven games. He has also averaged 13.8 yards per catch after seven games.

What Exactly Happened During the Play Where Cam Coleman Got Injured?
During that very play where wide receiver Cam Coleman reportedly got hurt, the wide receiver was seen trying to block for teammate Eric Singleton Jr. However, this was when Arkansas’ No. 14 was seen rolling over Coleman’s foot, leading to the wide receiver to start limping around before getting taken out and checked.
Earlier in that same game, the wide receiver had an impressive one-handed touchdown to start things off, with the Tigers beginning to struggle after he left. Head coach Hugh Freeze is expected to address his injury around halftime.
