Where Is Cam Coleman Going? $440M Program Named Among Favorites For Auburn WR After Recent $5M Splash

Former five-star wide receiver recruit Cam Coleman is leaving Auburn, and everyone is wondering where he could end up in 2026. Coleman is considered the best wide receiver available in the transfer portal at the moment, with 247Sports rating him as a five-star transfer and the fourth-best player in the portal.

Now, Rivals’ Steve Wiltfong has some intel on the schools where the playmaker could end up:

“Major contenders on that one. Texas got the first visit… Texas A&M getting the second visit. We are expecting future trips with Texas Tech and USC. Alabama rounding out the top five. I’m not sleeping on Texas Tech.” (1:05)

According to Wiltfong, there’s confidence in Lubbock, Texas, that Coleman can be a Red Raider in the end. According to The Athletic, the Red Raiders are currently valued at $440 million.

But confidence is also high in College Station and Austin. One thing seems to be clear from the Rivals report: Coleman seems headed to play football in the Lone Star State.

Pete Nakos: Money Is Not The Deciding Factor In The Cam Coleman Transfer Story

On3’s Pete Nakos reported that Cam Coleman is currently finishing up his visit to College Station and has visits to the Red Raiders and the Trojans up ahead. According to Nakos, the player is not viewing NIL money as the deciding factor in his transfer:

“Sources tell On3 that Cam Coleman is currently on the Texas A&M campus and wrapping up his visits. More trips are scheduled to Texas Tech and USC. There is confidence in multiple camps that they can offer the best opportunity for Coleman. Money is not going to be the deciding factor in this recruitment, even though sources have said his deal could be in the $2 million range.”

The Red Raiders have already broken the bank with Brendan Sorsby’s transfer, which is reportedly valued at $5 million – the biggest single-season NIL in the short history of NIL. The deal is being funded by billionaire CEO and former Texas Tech player Cody Campbell. It remains to be seen whether the Red Raiders will lure Coleman with NIL money from another powerful booster or use part of their $20.5 million revenue-sharing cap.
