“Total Locker Room Diva”: Calls Mount From Fans Against Former Colorado Transfer Dylan Edwards Amid Decision To Leave Kansas State

Kansas State will finish the 2025 season without running back Dylan Edwards, who has decided to redshirt after appearing in four games, as reported by Pete Nakos.

This decision has prompted a lot of angry reactions from fans on X:

“To any team that wants him. Total locker room diva just be prepared”, stated a fan.

“4 schools in three years if you include his ND committment”, commented a fan highlighting Dylan Edwards’ transfer history.

“How many guys transfer to 3 schools make an NFL roster?”, said a fan.

“This dude can’t decide what he wants to do”, remarked a fan.

“He should stop transferring. Stay put and be an actual teammate”, suggested a fan.

“He got lil greedy and think he all that”, stated another fan.

“Thanks for nothing! Good riddance bi**h”, vented a frustrated Kansas state fan.

The timing of the decision means Edwards will preserve a year of eligibility as per NCAA rules that permit players to compete in up to four games while still maintaining redshirt status, and Edwards has hit that exact threshold.

This decision also comes after Edwards’ continual battle dealing with an ankle injury that has plagued him since the season opener.

Edwards’ ankle troubles began in Kansas State’s season opener against Iowa State in Dublin.

Edwards Shines With Dominant Outing Against UCF

The running back delivered one of his best performances of the year against UCF with 166 rushing yards and a touchdown in Kansas State’s 34-20 victory over the Knights.

However, Edwards’ injury never fully resolved. Before Kansas State’s matchup with Texas Tech, Klieman acknowledged the ongoing concern with Edwards’ lower body. The coach made it clear the staff wouldn’t risk playing him.

“There’s something going on with the lower extremity that we continue to do imaging on”, Klieman explained .

“The imaging we’ve received says that it wasn’t healed. If it’s not healed, he is not gonna play. We’re not gonna put him out there”, he further elaborated.

Edwards wrapped up his 2025 season with 34 carries for 205 yards and a pair of touchdowns. The running back came to Manhattan last year after playing his freshman season for the 2023 Colorado team. In his first season, he carried the ball 74 times for 546 yards and five touchdowns. He also received the ball with 19 catches for 133 yards.

In Colorado, he put up 321 rushing yards while adding 36 receptions for 99 yards and four touchdowns.
