Analysts Think Very Highly of Cade Klubnik

On3 analysts Andy Staples and Ari Wasserman recently discussed their list of the best college quarterbacks returning for the upcoming season.

Klubnik was a significant part of their conversation, with both hosts speaking highly of his abilities, particularly as a mobile quarterback.

The two-time ACC Championship MVP is a major reason for optimism among Tigers fans as the next season approaches. His 2024 season was the best of his college career, as he threw for 3,639 yards and 36 touchdowns. He also added 463 rushing yards and seven touchdowns on the ground.

Simply put, he is one of the premier dual-threat quarterbacks in college football.

Clemson Is Set Up To Contend Next Season

Last season, largely due to Klubnik’s performance, the Tigers achieved 10 wins under head coach Dabo Swinney. They posted a 7-1 conference record and ultimately won the ACC Championship Game, securing a spot in the inaugural 12-team College Football Playoff.

As the 2025 season approaches, there are numerous compelling storylines within the ACC. With Bill Belichick taking over as head coach at North Carolina, the Tar Heels could be a significant wildcard. The Miami Hurricanes’ acquisition of transfer quarterback Carson Beck could elevate them into true title contention.

Of course, Clemson faced the SMU Mustangs in the conference title game last season, and a last-second field goal was the difference, potentially sending the 11-win Mustangs to the College Football Playoff instead. Florida State could also be poised for a bounce-back season.
