With NFL free agency reshaping rosters since March 12, the Buffalo Bills still have a glaring hole at outside cornerback ahead of the 2025 NFL draft, set for April 24-26 in Green Bay, Wisconsin.
The move so far has been re-signing Dane Jackson, who spent last season with the Panthers. While Jackson adds depth, Buffalo still lacks a clear CB2 opposite Christian Benford. With inconsistent performances and expiring contracts clouding the position’s future, the Bills must target a long-term solution in the draft.

Buffalo Bills Desperate for CB2 Help Ahead of 2025 NFL Draft
As the 2025 NFL Draft nears, the Buffalo Bills are in urgent need of a reliable No. 2 cornerback to pair with Christian Benford. Rasul Douglas’ free agency and Kaiir Elam’s struggles leave a significant gap in the secondary, especially against elite receivers like Miami’s Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle.
Rasul Douglas
Douglas, who started for Buffalo last season, remains unsigned. While his veteran presence could provide stability, his inconsistency in 2024—where PFF ranked him outside the top 100 corners—raises doubts about a reunion. Even if the Bills bring him back, adding a young, long-term option through the draft is necessary.
Jahdae Barron
FOX Sports’ Ralph Vacchiano predicts Buffalo could trade up to No. 26 to draft Texas standout Jahdae Barron. Barron, one of the top cornerback prospects, recorded eight career interceptions and an elite 91.1 coverage grade in 2024, per PFF.
His 69.0 man coverage grade is notable as the Bills seek more corners capable of handling man-to-man assignments. Daniel Harms of The Draft Network highlighted Barron’s impact, stating,
“Barron impacts the defense every time he’s on the field through his effort, play style, and leadership.”
Shavon Revel Jr.
Buffalo has scheduled a pre-draft visit with East Carolina’s Shavon Revel Jr., whom they previously met at the NFL Scouting Combine. Despite an ACL injury early in 2024, Revel showcased elite play, recording two interceptions and a defensive touchdown in just three games.
Revel has drawn comparisons to Tariq Woolen Jr. and Benjamin St-Juste due to his physicality and 6’2″, 193-pound frame. A recent video showed him running over 20 mph, suggesting he’s on track for a full recovery.

Other Draft Options: Burke and Davis
Ohio State’s Denzel Burke (6’0″, 190 pounds) allowed just one touchdown over nearly 600 snaps in 2023 and earned an 81.7 PFF coverage grade. His versatility in man and zone coverage fits Buffalo’s scheme well.
Meanwhile, Arizona’s Tacario Davis (6’4″, 190 pounds) excelled as a ball hawk, breaking up 15 passes and allowing just 23 receptions on 54 targets.
