From the high school recruiting class of 2025, Bryce Underwood flipping from LSU to Michigan sent shockwaves. However, after Michigan fired Sherrone Moore, it seems likely that the former five-star quarterback recruit might be transferring. The freshman played well for Michigan, often showing why he was the No. 1 in his class, but with Moore out and uncertainty gripping the team, it may be time for him to leave.
Underwood sounds like a quarterback for a team to build around, and there are no shortages for where the Michigan freshman should go should he enter the transfer portal. Several schools have reportedly been trying to recruit him already following Moore’s termination, but where should he go?

3 Schools That Bryce Underwood Can Go To If He Chooses To Head To The Transfer Portal
LSU Tigers
Probably the most obvious one here, LSU has not yet given up on Bryce Underwood since he flipped to Michigan, and several reports have indicated that some people in Baton Rouge want him to enter the transfer portal and head to LSU. LSU great Tyrann Mathieu is one of them, even tweeting out to Underwood to get him to transfer.
Come home son @BryceUnderwoo16
We are waiting & will accept you with open arms. FOREVER LSU— Tyrann Mathieu (@Mathieu_Era) December 10, 2025
It was Brian Kelly who initially recruited Underwood, but the No. 1 quarterback flipped and went to Michigan after some big money was offered. After Kelly was fired, Lane Kiffin has taken over, and he may be able to get some big numbers to match what he is getting at Ann Arbor.
Oregon Ducks
Bryce Underwood flipped to Michigan after a massive amount of NIL money was offered to him. If NIL money is what Bryce Underwood wants, he could get it at Oregon, not to mention that the Ducks may need a new quarterback should Dante Moore go to the NFL next season. Oregon has a big backer in Phil Knight, the founder of Nike, and Oregon’s possible quarterback vacancy, plus that Nike NIL may be very enticing.
Colorado Buffaloes
Colorado had a bad season, especially after Shedeur Sanders left for the NFL. A good quarterback could turn that around, and Bryce Underwood could be that quarterback. With a high-profile coach like Deion Sanders, too, Underwood could find what he is looking for at Boulder, though if they could match what LSU and Michigan are offering him remains to be in question.
