Bryan Braman Cause Of Death: What Happened To Former Super Bowl Champion?

On Thursday, July 17, former NFL linebacker and Super Bowl champion Bryan Braman died at the age of 38 at a hospital in Spokane, Washington, after losing his battle with brain cancer. Braman’s agent, Sean Stellato, shared the unfortunate development in an interview with NBC News.

Braman, who was part of the Philadelphia Eagles’ Super Bowl-winning team in 2018, discovered he had an aggressive form of brain cancer earlier this year. He underwent a 12-week treatment at a Seattle hospital to fight the dreaded illness before returning to his home in Spokane to continue his recovery.

The Eagles released a statement about Braman following the news of his death. They paid tribute to their former player, who saw action for Philadelphia for four seasons before retiring in 2018.

“We are deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Bryan Braman,” the Eagles wrote. “During his four seasons in Philadelphia, Bryan was a loyal teammate, a supporter of the community, and a valuable member of our Super Bowl LII-winning team.”

“More importantly, he was a devoted father who passionately loved his family and everyone around him. We extend our deepest condolences to Bryan’s family and all who are grieving his loss during this difficult time,” the team added.

Braman played a total of seven seasons in the NFL. He started his professional career at Houston, suiting up for the Texans from 2011 to 2013 before joining Philadelphia in 2014. He ended his NFL career with a bang, helping the Eagles secure a dramatic 41-33 victory over the New England Patriots in Super Bowl LII.

Braman starred for Philadelphia in that title showdown, sniffing out New England’s trick play with its kickoff return in the closing minutes of the fourth quarter. Braman’s tackle shut the play down, helping the Eagles register a memorable win.
