Losing a pet can be hard, and this is something that Cleveland Browns rookie quarterback Dillon Gabriel and his fiancé, Zo Caswell, know all too well.
On the first anniversary of their beloved canine, Winston’s passing, Caswell posted several photos of their dog on her Instagram Stories, including one where Gabriel and the pooch were hugging it out.
“Mom and dad miss u so much!” Caswell wrote in her story’s caption.
Caswell also posted additional photos of Winston on her Instagram Stories of when the dog was still alive.
Winston passed away last year what Gabriel and his fiancé thought was just a simple surgery. Instead, the veterinarian found an irreparable issue with his stomach that led to the couple deciding on having him put down last year to alleviate his suffering.
“Winnie, we love you more than you will ever know. We will miss your nibbles, bark, and endless kisses to the face. Can’t wait till we meet again in heaven,” Dillon Gabriel wrote on Instagram last year.

Winston had been a huge part of the relationship between Dillon Gabriel and Zo Caswell, with the beloved dog regularly appearing on both of their social media posts. The two have been together since their days at Oklahoma, with Caswell following Gabriel to Oregon when he transferred to the Ducks.
They are now engaged as Gabriel battles three other top quarterbacks for that coveted QB1 spot with the Browns.

Dillon Gabriel Leads All Cleveland Browns QBs in number of snaps ahead of 2025 season
Meanwhile, over at Akron, the Cleveland Browns training camp continues, and the quarterback race between four top quarterbacks is only intensifying. Veterans Joe Flacco and Kenny Pickett have been showing their experience, but rookies Dillon Gabriel and Shedeur Sanders have been showing that they are not slouches either.
So far, Gabriel is leading the pack with 38 snaps done, followed by Flacco and Pickett at 34 each. Sanders, meanwhile, has 31 as of Saturday. Snaps was not the only thing that Gabriel is leading the others at, as the former Oregon Duck has been leading the other three in team drills.
Despite this, Gabriel is still considered the dark horse of the pack, with Pickett being considered the slight favorite for the position in the end. However, he and Sanders still have a big chance to get that starting position later in the season should neither of them be chosen to start in the early parts of the 2025 campaign.
