The LSU Tigers made immense moves in the transfer portal, coming back with strong players to build up both their offense and defense.

Brian Kelly, LSU Achieve No. 1 Transfer Class
According to 247Sports, the Tigers earned the No. 1 transfer class in college football, showcasing how well they train their current players. LSU signed 16 transfers, with 10 of them being four-star players based on 247Sports rankings.
Head coach Brian Kelly had a clear vision, and he wanted to provide quarterback Garrett Nussmeier the best possible offensive weapons.
In addition, he didn’t want to ignore the defense for coordinator Blake Baker.
By getting top-notch players on both sides of the ball, LSU has positioned itself as a stronger and more compatible team in the SEC.
Their truculent approach in the transfer portal has shown great gameplay, and now, with their lineups of great players, they are looking forward to competing for a national championship.
Brian Kelly Remains Confident Ahead of Spring Transfer Window
There will be another transfer window happening this spring, but Kelly seems to be already satisfied with the lineup.
“I think we go into this next portal window with no expectations of needing to get somebody out of the spring portal,” Kelly said. “It would have to be something that was just a right fit for us.”
LSU’s impressive roster is now prominent to everyone, but it was worse before. In 2024, they really needed someone to play defensive tackle and wanted to have renowned players like Simeon Barrow Jr. and Damonic Williams on the team.

But unfortunately, it never happened, and now they learned from their mistake.
This time, coach Kelly took it seriously and got everything set up during the first transfer portal window. By having wide receivers and adding strong offensive and defensive lines, they covered it all.
